Alhamdolilah ..... Visa Issued today ...

Its been a long journey for me and my spouse. I joined this forum when there was visa tracker part 1 i was mostly a silent member. I never thought it be delayed so much that there would be part 3 of this thread by the time I get out of AP. (I was in AP for about 2 n half years)

Here are some facts for fingerprints and oath. There were about 10 others like me for it. we all were selected around mid December for it. they took a break from this procedure and they are now restarting in year 2015.

For those still waiting for a call for medical submission. I would say email the embassy, contact your senator or congressman for help and hope for the best and for those already scheduled for fingerprints and oath, Best of Luck

They called me after a week of submitting the fresh documents.

I was asked to submit the fresh documents and then I was scheduled for finger prints and oath. when I went for finger prints and oath they started questioning me again about our marriage and relationship. now they are asking recent proof of our ongoing relationship as a husband and wife. I was not expecting that but you never know what they embassy is doing. they still not approved our visa even after oath and finger prints.

I am going to send them the new proof soon and then see what they do.

I am more interested in the time frame. how much time it took for them to call you for fingerprints after you submitted the medical and ds260 as I am at that stage. and when exactly were you scheduled for finger prints. reason i ask that is because back in august September they were taking up to 2 months after docs submission to call for fingerprints and lately i saw people were called as soon as 12 to 14 days after submission

Anyone else on the forum who was asked to submit ds260 and medical pics recently apart from salsan ? If so please share when you sent the documents and if you were contacted for fingerprints and oath by now or are you waiting for it

Well, if you have submitted everything they have asked , then I think your AP is over and their about to issue you visa real soon.

I dont understand how some people get visa within few months and they are recent cases while people who been waiting for more then two years, are still waiting. this is crazy and unfair.

when was your interview ? and how did it go?

It was ages back ... 2 years ago ... Interview was just fine ... Nothing out of the ordinary . the interviewer said we might need to do AP at the end of interview

Thanks for the reply ... Well I got call to submit ds260 and medical and 2 photos around 26nov ... I scheduled mu medical asap and I submitted ds260 on 30th Nov. Got an update on 31st and then an email on 2nd December to submit medical l. I had delivered the medical with 2 pics and barcode page to local courier office on1st december and they said the packet should have been delivered by 3rd December . I haven't got any update since then

Hello, I haven't got the call as you but i got a email for the fresh medical,ds260 and photos.make them ready and then send the barcode to the embassy. Once they recive the barcodr they are going to schedule me for the fingerprints.. So my husband send the barcode page to embassy 4 to 5 times but they didn't reply us. I have contacted the embassy but they do not respond to emails .. So me and my husband decided to send embassy other documents.. Now i'm waiting for their response and schedule me for fingerprints!! Tell me about your story too

Forum members, I need some clarification from some senior / expert members of this thread. My case is CR-1. In our case the petitioner doesnot have a job as she was busy with her medical college related exams and neither do I as I was doing same thing. We have a very solid joint sponsor which we used in our case and never had any problems with financial / tax documentation given to CIS, NVC or embassy. We did submit a joint bank account statement as proof of marriage along with other proofs to CIS when we filed our case. Bank statement was never asked again from NVC or at interview in embassy. Now its been over 8 months since my interview. I am still in AP but my spouse is done with her exams and she intends to leave for USA with couple of weeks.

I want to know if the bank statement of the joint account we sent to CIS over a year ago is still relevant or not ? I ask because I would like to withdraw about 50 to 70 % of the money deposited in that account and give it to her so that she can live comfortably over there. If i do that this account total cash will seriously dip down. I am asking in sense that the finances are supposed to covered by petitioner and if petitioner cannot cover those, Joint sponsor is asked for. and since we have a very good joint sponsor our joint bank account in Pakistan is pretty much irrelevant ? if not please let me know. thanks

Guys I need your advice as what to do at this point. I had my CR1 interview around middle of september 2012 and my last status update was on 31st dec 2012. I am really starting to get pissed off due to this Admin process thing. At interview i was asked to submit some additional tax returns of previous years of my joint sponsor which i did days later. Currently my latest update date is 6 feb and thats because i sent an inquiry email about my case to embassy and it changed exactly when i got their standard B.S. reply that it takes time bla bla bla and that if you dont get response from us 6 months from the day of this message contact us again.

I am a young freshly graduated doctor and I cannot join specialty training in pak as it holds no value over there and the more time I wait doing non training jobs over here the less my chances become of getting into a good training program over here. I absolutely dont understand their criteria of making ppl wait on admin processing. I and my wife are of same age. We both are doctors. We both are done with our studies and we both graduated from good repuitable colleges and are ready to start our professional lives and specialty training. My wife is a citizen and not GC so there shouldnt be anything like waiting for priority dates and stuff

I would wait to see if your visa is issued by this summer, if so you should be fine, otherwise i would plan to have another made in the early fall so you have plenty of time to get it back with plenty of days before expiry.

Thank you for the quick reply ... and yes I am hoping that it doesnt come to it In Sha Allah. but the current political situation and almost daily holidays announed due to it by the embassy isnt helping either.

hey guys i need to ask about something. My case CR1 is currently in Admin processing for about 4 months now. My passport is gonna expire in January 2014. My question is "when am i supposed to make new passort and send it?" The FAQ page says that passport should be valid for atleast 60 days after the expiry date of the printed visa. since this visa is usually valid for 6 months. Should I be making new passport in June 2013 ?

Your case will need to get to your consulate/embassy first. What country are you from? You'll need to call DOS to know when your case has arrived. Then give it a day or two and contact your consulate/embassy (either through phone, if possible, or email). Just explain your situation and see if you can get re-scheduled for an earlier date. They might be willing to accommodate you (if they have open slots), but it varies by consulate/embassy. Some are more flexible than others.

thank you very much for the information . I am from Pakistan and my embassy is Islamabad... and yes i will fill my timeline soon i was extremely busy in managing this whole process and preparing my application for Job as doctor in USA.

hey saylin i need to ask you something. my case got completed today on 2nd August 2012 (as in i got interview letter today) stating that my interview date is 27 sep 2012. I am a doctor and i intend to work in USA as doctor. for doctors there is a universal job application system that starts on 1st september when you have to apply online and your visa status should be clear before that. for that purpose i want to reschedule my visa appointment at embassy for an earlier date. i wanted to ask you how soon should i contact embassy regarding this and if i should on these grounds or not?

There only a few select countries (the Philippines one of them) that allows for advance medicals (which can be done as early as getting to NVC). For those eligible, they bring the NVC letter that contains their case number on it (instead of the interview letter, like the rest of us).

Yes, I'd suggest calling them. Did you not give the petitioner's email address when your case number was assigned?

hey saylin i need some advice... here is brief background of my case .

My AOS was approved recently. and my IV package got reviewed and i got a checklist for Missing Police clearance certificate. I lived in same city ever long before i turned 16 in Pakistan and i was living there till April 2012. In April 2012 i moved to another city in Pakistan. in my IV package i had sent in local police clearance certificate of the first city but not second one as i have been here for just 3 months now(current address). I called up NVC talked to operator, cleared this up with him. he had the Certificate i had sent for first city in their records. he put me on hold for few minutes and after that he came back online and told me that he put up a request for supervisor to recheck the documents and that according to their rules i donot need to send any other police clearance certificate and told me to wait 15-20 business days before asking again.

i want to know if this was enough or should i call them up again and talk to supervisor directly ? also when do you think i should call again to check about this RFE. thanks in advance
