for sometime now my relationship had been going down hill. it was obvious he was cheating, but i tried to not let my suspicions get the best of me. point of the story is last Monday, he left me he literally moved into a house with some lady and her three kids, and paid the down payment with money that he begged me to send him. some people warned me that the money he was asking me for might be for that so i refused to send it at first, but he swore to god and everything that he loved that he would never do that to me, and as soon as i sent him the money he moved in with her. i cried alot atfirsr but surprsingly im beginning to see things in a new light, and i realize that i have not been happy for sometime, and it was because of him. now i feel happier than ever and i pray to god to keep helping me stay strong. for all of those who are still waiting for immigration to get back to you goodluck, wish you guys the best!

p.s i have been in love with this person since i was 12, and i am now about to turn 24. i have dedicated my life to him, in so many ways, and the way he repaid me was taking my money. and calling me a piece of ####, while i was actually pregnant with his unborn son....i lost the baby by the way.

Good Morning VJ members, hope everyone is having a great Tuesday. I have noticed that some of you guys have sent in the DS-230 directly from DR. I am wondering if I can have my wife sign and mail back to me and then I send it to the NVC with supporting Docs and fees Paid ofcourse. Am i not going to have to send it to a US address which is where the NVC is located?

good morning, yes you can send your wife the DS-230 i send mine with my cousin that went to DR for 5 days she had my husband signed and my stepdaughter and brought back to me i made copies for myself and send the original signed ones back to nvc, remember they only sign part one not part two.. good luck

I was advised the same thing As long as you have the email, just ensure both of you print out Pk4

Yes, you know how when you call NVC and they ask you for your case number, petitioners names, email, ect; they send packet four to the email(s) you provided. You can always forward the email to your SO and print some out for yourself. Good Luck <3

This is a great way to guarantee the actual "pkt 4" gets to them... Cause DR mail sucks...

congratulations if you move quickly thru NVC you may be lucky enough to have your interview in late octuber or early november..

hello everyone, hope everyone is hanging in there, i have a question, i called NVC today and asked them why my husband and stepdaughter in DR haven't received package 4 by mail they told me that hes not going to get anything by mail, because they send him and me the petitioner a email already which is package 4 with the interview letter and a list of what to take the day of the interview and a list of all documents that where received by the NVC, to print that from the email and go do hes medical 3 weeks in advance with that letter before hes interview, and anything else required by the embassy in DR,is this normal just to print it and thats it, because i thought it came in the mail a package??? has anyone else experience this?? thank you for your reply in advance, you all have a Blessed day...

i have the same question my husband interview is for september, 28 can he get the examn done in august before the 21st before the price change for the flu shots??? or do we have to wait until september??? because is still to far away???

The son can initiate the petition, provided he is at least 21 years old and resides full-time in the US. Chances are the drug incident will show up during his process. There is no 'pardon' per se, but there is a waiver for certain offenses. Whether a waiver applies in his case will depend on a myriad of factors.

Son can file I-130 petition.

USCIS might approve the petition which is a prima facie determination that there is a qualifying father and son relation which allows father to apply for an immigration visa.

Father's immigration visa will be denies because of the drug crime.

A waiver (correct term - immigration does not pardon crimes) request will be denied.

The US consider drug crimes to be so bad that no waiver is possible.

The first step will get approved, but the process will not result in a visa.

There is no possible waiver for a person found to be selling drugs. Although a USC adult child could file a petition , the drug sales charge is a lifetime ban. Unless there is a major change in immigration law ( I would not expect it for this) Your friend will NEVER be allowed in the US under any visa.

hi VJ friends, i need everyone help and advise on this question, i have a stepbrother in the Dominican Republic that was deported 15 years ago for selling a large amount of illegal drugs,, he has a son a american born that resides here in the usa, can hes son petition him??? can he get what they call a PERDON??? hes been living in DR since he was deported and hasnt had no problems ever again with the Law.. the son is willing to petition hes dad to be able to come back to USA.. does anyone know what we need to file or hire a lawyer here and one in DR???? thank you in advance for your advice..

That is the wrong information they don't just schedule on every second tuesday of the month as you can tell with my interview date I was scheduled on the 4th friday of the month. They schedule all through out the month however they only start scheduling when the DR embassy lets them know how many spots they have open for the next month. You should call everyday to see if its scheduled

i didnt send a inextensa birth certificate for my husband and stepdaughter but it was legalized in DR.. my marriage certificate was inextensa, and uscis and the national visa center accepted them with no problem, good luck

How long is it taking for interviews to get scheduled these days in the DR for IR2 or IR1/CR1?

Ive heard 2-4 weeks but on most people's timeline I am seeing 2 months

i completed my case on june 29th and called the national visa center and they told me that they scheduled all appoinments for santo domingo embassy on the second tuesday of every month, my husband and stepdaughter did not get scheluded for august so they told me to call the second tuesday of august very frustrated i thought my husband would had a appointment for august for sure since it was completed on june 29, i guess just have to wait and see if he will get it for september.

NO problem. The number is not in DR, it's here in USA, but they can also tell you when a cita has been scheduled. It's DOS and the number is 202-663-1225. Just give them your case number.

NVC states my Docs have been received & reviewed....that they are sending me a checklist. What Checklist????? & when do we get our interview date???

the checklist is usually requesting some type of document from you, i got one and it was for the agent form, but when i got the email from them with the checklist i had already mail it out next day mail..so there was no need for the checklist..

I waited almost a month around April. NVC seems to be extremely busy this summer so I'd say give yourself some time. Call NVC and DOS everyday. I am guessing it will be sometime in late August or September. Hopefully not later. Good luck and congrats on cc.

steph what is the number to call in DR to find out when your scheduled for interview, besides NVC, and also is there a web page to find out????

My case was complete Aug.1 of last year and I found out about my interview Aug. 09th. I was calling everyday so maybe they just wanted me off their case and scheduled me. So in my case it took 8 days. but I agree with the others....the summer is a busy time for the embassy in DR so at maximum give it about a month.

De nada amor!! Everything is going good. Looking for an apartment so when my fiance and his daughter come we will be all settled in. Im really excited and looking forward to it...especially knowing baseball season will still be around when he comes and I can take him to the games...hes so excited because he plays baseball in DR..I cant wait to do all those little things with him. Congrats that your case was complete!! From here all you have to do is wait...it seems to be taking a month or a little over a month for cases completed after 05/30 to find out their interview date just because the summer is the busiest time for interviews, especially in D.R. Even for people to get their NOA2 is taking a little longer than expected. Hang in there, que despues de aqui, all your husband has to do is get his medical and you guys are all set for the interview.

My case has been Completed since June 26th.... and I still have no interview Date.... It's Very Frustrating!!!! But Hopefully we have some news this Week!!!!

Hey hun first of all, congrats on your case complete. Your one step closer :)and as for the interview date, it varies. I received my date 13 days after my case complete but i know some people who have waited almost a month. They are VERY busy over the summer but just remember that you WILL get a date eventually. I know its hard to do, but try not to think about it too much. It will come when you least expect it to. <3 <3
