  1. It starts when they received it. They will give you a notice saying when they received it and that's the start date when you're going to wait for 10 to 11 months. Like mine, i filed January 19, 2008, they received it on January 22 or 23 i think and that's what's in the notice so that's the start of the waiting period. Hope this helps. Goodluck

When someone says they're been waiting 10 or 11 months before the card is being odered at VSC. When is the time frame starts? From the i-751 mail out? from when you received the NOA or from the Biometrics? Thanks in advance!

    Eric.

  2. I submitted my I-751 Jan.2008 with Notarized Affidavits from friends and family and still got an RFE. When I re-submitted i still sent updated notarized affidavit with the same people, I got approved but as co-VJ'ers said with or without affidavits it can still be approved but to be safe might as well submit whatever you can to satisfy USCIS. The more evidence the more you won't get an RFE/Denial.

  3. Thanks to everyone.

    Magnolia31,

Yes, i did received my 2 year greencard in 2006 for Adjustment of Status (AOS) and before it expired i filed before the 90 days which was between October 2007 - Jan2008. My time is different and confusing because my AOS was approved in January of 2006 and expiration was January 2008. So timeline wise, it's just the same as everybody else.

    Sorry to confuse you.

    Goodluck to all!

  4. Thank you very much to everyone.

    Marlaise,

Yes, there was no interview., which was good. If i did, i'm going to have a heart attack. ha.ha.ha. Just kidding.

    Andersen,

Yeah, it was pretty quick. Didn't expect it to be that soon but i'll accept the fact that they processed mine so fast. LOL. Thanks again for the tips. :D

Again, thank you to all and to those who are still waiting, goodluck!

  5. FINALLY!!!! My 10 year Greencard has arrived. Thank you again for everybody who has shared their experiences and gave us an idea of how things are. VSC did suck for a year but now it's redemption time for them. They're doing their best to really do their job. All I can say is....Woooooooohooooooooooo!!!!        At least now i can rest for awhile before i start my Citizenship process. Goodluck to all and to all those who are still waiting don't lose faith. Keep the faith! God Bless!

  6. I know this would sound absurd, but let's all calm down. If you need more update, go to your nearest local USCIS office and get an INFOPASS. If you think it's really more than the time frame you've been waiting. I filed January 2008 and had an RFE in December 2008 and just recently got approved (look at my timeline). I know it's aggravating but don't aggravate yourself looking at USCIS timeline because they're not updating it everyday. They update their website every month. They are trying best to get things done. Also, they have a notice that most cases now will take 12-13 months but lets not all give up hope. Just hang in there and things will be fine. Okay? Goodluck and God Bless!

  7. Again, Thank you very much for all the support of all VJ'ers.

Andersen, thanks again for all the advice, thought i'd be waiting another year....ha.ha.ha.

bly, yes they're on the roll which is good for all of us who were waiting for this moment.

We all deserve this. So to all who are still waiting for their GC's, keep up the faith and be patient. Goodluck to all and God Bless!
