good luck with your interview! i know it's hard to find post about seoul..i will keep you updated on how things went. he is going there now to take the doc. they needed. i should know something tonight how it went. i don't know if they will tell him today..or if we will have to wait.

and yes..stay by the phone. i have never read anywhere where they called before. so i didn't expect that. maybe it is a good sign that they took the time to call me later that day. ( it was 1:30 am my time) but i was determined to stay up all night to help him get the requried forms for today!

didn't go so well. they ask him a lot of questions..and he was nervous and had a hard time answering some of them. i couldn't be there with him..and i wasn't home at the time of the interview. they called my house to talk to me. they ended up giving him a 221g (blue)..needing e-mails from 2004 to now. it says that the case is completed..and further consideration will be given after doc. are submitted. he is going back today to give them what they want. does anyone know how long it takes after this is done? also..later that night..a woman from the embassy called me..she was very nice..and ask me a lot of questions. i said i didn't know they would call me..so i wasn't here. my daughter took me out so i wouldn't worry. and she said..awww..don't worry. but..anyone that has had this happen..please let me know how long it takes before you know something.

Ok you guys, our interview is Monday @ 8:30am at the South Korean Embassy. Well, actually he will be having his interview Sunday night here due to the large time difference. Anyway, we are getting very nervous, and I know everytime I thing about it I get butterflies in my stomach.. I am very postitive, we have everything in order and have all paperwork needed, and were well prepared ahead of time. Just want my VJ friends to wish us luck, prayers and keep your fingers crossed for us.....thanks everyone for your support through this past 8 months....I could not have gotten this far without you.

Hi we are going through the Korean Consulate as well, yes you only send them the DS-230, and then take everything else to the interview. As for the courier, you have to arrange that with DHL, at the Embassy the day of the Interview, they will give you a receipt. If you have anymore questions feel free to PM me

i wanted to know when they send packet 3, does it include instructions in the naitive language? my husband is korean..and his English is not so good. he understands broken english..but not complicated stuff. i am here in the states, i can't go there to help. i have to have my job here, to get him here..so im worried about what he has to do on his end. im sure a lot of ppl here have had this problem..i just haven't seen a topic about it.

me too..this is the first i have heard about that. maybe it just has something to do with Korea? i don't know.

i just wanted to know if anyone knows about a special imigration passport my husband might have to have. we are filing for k-3..and he is coming from korea. i read about that in another post..but it was for a k-1 visa. he has a passport..but i have never heard of this before now. anyone know? would like to know ahead of time..i don't want any surprises down the road. what do I put on my G-325a family name? we are married..but i haven't changed my name. ( we was married in korea) but, i was married before..so that is the name on my passport. (not my maiden name) so..what name do i use? my previous married name (my passport name and ss name) or my maiden name? thanks in advance for a reply
