  1. My CR1 visa interview in ankara consulate on December 5, 2012 is just rescheduled to February 12, 2013.

I wrote to the consulate several times this week and they confirmed December 5 several times , even in an email today.

But at exactly 5 pm today I received a short email just saying due to circumstances I have to put my life on hold 2.5 more months.

    Ridiculous. No concern for people.

    Anyone have the same problem?

  2. you need to contact NVC in couple of days to check if your case is in their system. When they confirm that they have it( you have to give them your USCIS case number etc) they will give you your NVC Case number. After that you have to give them your email and your spouses email address and they will contact you by those.

I read this and it helped me a lot:

  3. I read 2 posts about NVC steps and all the documents necessary.

    http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/How_to_bring_your_foreign_spouse_to_live_in_the_US

    and

    http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/EZGuideSpouse

both are very helpful( I am the beneficiary living abroad for I-130 application)

Now; as far as I see I need to send some documents to my spouse so she can send the IV package to NVC. Is this correct?

So I need to send her via postal service :

    1. 2 passpart photos,

    2. signed DS-230 form part I,

    3. unsigned DS 230 part II,

    4. passport photocopy,

    5. birth certificate( is this supposed to be translated to ENglish?)

    6. police certificate(is this supposed to be translated to ENglish?)

Is there anything else I have to send her?

  4. there won't be any problem.

you and your daughters can go to usa without any visa. plus sweden is in visa waiver program. so your husband does not need to apply for a tourist visa.

    http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/without/without_1990.html

he just need paperwork with him just in case to show that he intends to go back to sweden and return to usa when his greencard will be approved.

  5. Did anyone apply for a tourist visa while waiting for their NO2 on I-130.

Our NO1 is January 10,2012. Still waiting. Already called the representative and the senator plus USCIS and asked for a service request. They told us to wait till July 10 and call back again.

It seem this process will take couple more months.

I was just trying to figure out if I can visit my spouse in USA for couple weeks?

( I do not have a tourist visa now. I had H1B but expired last september)

  6. We applied for I-130 on January 10. Still waiting for NO2. And after passing the 5 month mark, we called and ask for a service request.

This is the ridiculous message we got in 5 days. How frustrating.

The status of this service request is:

Processing times for specific applications and petitions at the Vermont

Service Center (VSC) are provided on the www.uscis.gov website and are

updated weekly. Based on fluctuations and variables that impact the

processing times and for the purpose of interim or final adjudicative

processing, the VSC allows 30 days beyond the posted date before the case

is considered "Outside of Normal Processing Time" (ONPT).

An additional 30 days must be allowed for adjudicative review and

processing before we can request expeditious processing based on an ONPT

request. If the application or petition is still pending after 30 days,

and once we receive your formal request for expeditious processing, your

case will be forwarded to the applicable adjudicative unit for

    expeditious handling.

If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer

    Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.
