  i applied for my husband in July 2010 and evrything was smooth here in USA, his approval from USA came in November 2010 and they transfered the case to Abu Dhabi Embassy, he did interview in Jan 2011 and his case was under AP from Jan 2011 till we got the AP clearance done in Jun 2012 and got the visa in same month , so the AP last for 17 months (and the whole process last for 2 years exactly, just keep follow up with the Embassy, sending them emails may remind them.
