I have a concern here, so my son came over here in the US sep. 2014 and he is a GC holder with conditions right now. My concern is that my USC husband is going to adopt him, we are wondering whats the first step? just FYI my son in using his biological fathers last name, do we need anything from his bio-father?

The biological father needs to sign a travel consent since the child is minor. You will also need his signature if you're going to adopt the child. She will also need to see a US consulate officer coz the PH government offices will need the affidavit of support and consent from her, she needs to make sure that whoever is going to accompany her son the name of that person needs to be in all the papers.

Hi guys, so my son is undergoing his medical exams right now. He started wednesday I believe or thursday.. He will have his interview tuesday this week and st. lukes gave him a chest test (xray) the doctor told my mom that my son got some TB exposure. I was just wondering how many of you here went to the same situation and got negative results on xray?

-Im so worried.

Our interview date is august 5th. Tomorow we will go to manila for my daughter's medical.

Hi there!! Have u recieved interview date yet? My daughters case completed june 16th, shes on IR2 category.. Her case has actually been expedited and wer waiting for her interview date. Hoping her interview would be sooner cuz classes starts in august!

I have to assume that:

1. husband paid all fees online with NVC and

2. husband handled the DS-260 and I-864 submittals and

3. NVC has given him notice of 'case complete' on the caseile.

If none of that is true - please say so ?

All correct! but for the case complete notice they did not send us one, I called NVC earlier and they told me that the case is already complete

Yes he is.

That was the case in the good ol' days, before Typhoon Haiyan and the expedited cases of those in the affected areas. Now interview dates are at a premium.

I am not sure what you mean by this? we're not affected of the Typhoon in my area.

Hi guys, so my hubby petitioned my son he is under cr2. The case got completed the 7th of june, I was wondering on how many more weeks/days do we need to wait for us to get the email from NVC with the interview date?

So my son is 5 yrs old I know he doesn't need to attend CFO seminar but just get his CFO sticker. my question is does he need to have his visa on hand or can he go get the sticker while he's still in Manila doing his medical and interview?

My mom will have her interview the 23rd of May for TV too.. I was wondering when did your mom know that she was denied? did they tell her on the day of the interview?

Oh I have everything except for my sons original bcert. I only have his bcert photocopy coz the NSO had a clerical error on it uh,,, I ordered it online but will take 6-8 weeks before i receive it coz theyre using Philpost.
