Yes we just got our interview date on Friday. I still can't believe how long all of this took! It was 201 days from the NOA1 to the NOA2. Then almost another 30 days between VSC to NVC and finally to the Embassy. THEN almost 30 more days before the interview date.

Congratulations! I hope your interview went well. My fiancee and I are past our 5 months mark now and are waiting "not so" patiently for our NOA2. I know you are probably very busy, but if you have time...would you mind sending me a list of all the documents the embassy asked for? Just want to get the documents that take time. Hello Silvia!! Oh my...yes I am excited! I just got home from Afghanistan last week and I leave for Skopje Saturday!! Four months was WAY too long. Won't happen again..ever! How about you? Is your financee there yet?

I would check with your Embassy again and ask to speak to someone higher. I wouldn't stop unless until someone told me "yes".

The Embassy is incorrect if they told you that you would not be allowed in the US with a tourist VISA if you have a pending K-1. PLENTY of people have come in on a tourist VISA while waiting for their K-1's. Just search VJ for all the stories. They are everywhere. You just have to show proof you will return to your country and be honest when asked questions. Simple.

That is a very long visit! Wonderful! I think we are all hoping for a miracle!! I will be in Macedonia until the beginning of Nov but that is as long as the will let me stay. I am hope somehow we will be finished and will get to leave together.

Hi Silvia!! I am doing well!! I finally received my flight reservations out of Afghanistan. I only have 47 days left here. Then it is back to the US for a few days and back on a plan to Macedonia on July 14th. I booked that last night so now I am REALLY excited!!! Having something to look forward to, other than the mail, sure makes time go by faster!

My fiancee is also from Macedonia and we just started this process a little over a month ago. I saw on your timeline you received your NOA2 in January. Have you had your interview yet? How did it go? Do you have any advice on how to NOT make this go any slower?
