  1. Easy look at the guide section, and the example forms, follow the instructions. See what others have done in the AOS section.

It is not as easy to look in the guide section. I can and have already done that.

When do you file what? All together? One thing at a time? If you can not answer a question, fair enough...but don't give the oblivious and obvious answer.

  2. The issue lies in it being India. My father in law has gone to court 3 times now, to secure this birth certificate. However, the judge pushes back the date, time after time and has now instructed the families attorney to a personal meeting at his home (the judges) where a bribery fee was discussed! To get a birth certificate? We had the original but we were going on vacation and me being me, required my husband bring all his documents with him, as to not have any issues while we take a flight and ended up in a horrible car accident and the original birth certificate was ruined. Epic fail move!!!

  3. STOP doing that. Visas CAN and HAVE been denied for that. It is NOT like calling someone "Mommy or Daddy".

There are soecific and important differences in visas for fiancees and spouses. Many people have gotten married and when they find out the soouse visa takes longer to process they decide to misrepresent themselves as engaged. This is fraud and can result in visa denial and a lifetime ban for future visas.

You can call him "honey", "poopsie", "darling", "sweetheart" "snuggle bunny" whatever, but NOT "hubby" or any other term related to marriage.

You cannot "prove" you are NOT married. That is the problem. A CENOMAR only states that there is no record of a marriage in PIs, nothing else.

Lets be realistic. She can call him what ever she wants, REGARDLESS. How people take it in any situation, is on them.

How dare you chastise this person, when she is coming for help. You should be ashamed of yourself.

  4. I am Jenn and happily married to the love of my life, about to hit the roller coaster of immigration! Granted, it is a process that scares me to the last bone in my body! All the paperwork, getting a co-sponser! Literally day one, all I have done is purged this website and printed off all the documents needed yet I've thrown up 4 times! The anxiety is that of exhilaration and a subtle amount of detriment! You will see me whine, you will see me cry but right now I honestly need people as a support system!!!!!

  5. My husband and I met in November of 2010, moved in together in February of 2011, and married July of 2011. He is student, holding that status. However, with me the only one working, we are living off his minut income from India, my small paychecks and that debt I have incurred from a OVERLY gracious boss (racked up 12,000$ to him in the past year alone; we have decided to file for a change in his visa status...but no clue where to begin...so I contacted a lawyer, then got a brainy idea that I could do this myself. Looked online and it seems VERY easy, however, I need to know what is the proper thing I am filing for. He resides in the USA not abroad, we have everything together in our name as this IS a valid marriage. Is this a K-3 or am I filing for an upgrade of the visa he has
