Thank you. I'm happy they finally got it scheduled. I've been very bitter and disappointed lately that it's taken them so long. In the end the time between NVC case complete and interview date was 2 months and 15 days. I had stopped checking my email and hoping to find something, and so had my wife. So it was indeed good news to get the email last night.

I know, weird isn't it? I think that's part of why this process takes such an emotional toll on you. If if was a steady stream of events that would be one thing, but oh no, it keeps going back and forth between action and inaction. Drives me nuts. But oh well. Now I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Called NVC today and got my interview October 16TH! Estou rezando aqui!

So I received the notice the case had been approved and sent to NVC.

Received the DS3032 for choice of agent etc..

Received the AOS bill

Paid bill.. status shows 'PAID'

Sent off AOS papers via email to NVCelectronic@state.gov (like it says to on the website)

Receive an email that unfortunately the consulate assigned to this case does not participate in electronic processing therefore I would have to mail the documents in.

Mailed AOS papers to NVCINQUIRY@state.gov ...no response??!!

Can someone please advise me as what to do??!!!

Once you finish payment on the website, you should click on the cover page ...print the cover page and mail it to the address on the cover page.

SAME with IV bill.

I am happy for everyone. This is definetly by country. I see lots of Nigeria and Philipines. I guess nothing in Brazil yet.I just called the NVC and she told me to call in a couple of weeks. I guess no scheduling in Brazil yet. God it would be so good to hear soon. My anniversary is October 16th please God let it be the next month.

Please read the post that states october interviews you will see actually NVC did not send to the consulate yet. It is happening to all countries.

I went through a similar situation with NVC stating that our certified copy was not accepted. I had to upload another copy and email it and copy the US Consulate in my country since they are familiar with our documents. Then I was so tired of calling and hearing the same thing about 15 days and bla bla bla. So after 20 days I sent the originals on the same day I sent (so they did not have the originals yet) they emailed me stating case was complete. However once they received the originals they change my completion date for one week later. Anyway...case completed on August 17th and I am waiting on an interview date. This is hard for any couple. But if it is real love you should not give up easy like that..... Good luck to all!!!

Don't worry you will hear something first week of September my case completed on August 10 i am waiting just like you NVC will start scheduling On September 4 for Month of October.

NVC schedules during the second week of the month. It would seem that they didn't schedule many IR interviews for the month of Sept. Look to find out something the week of Sept. 10 regarding an October interview.

My case was completed on August 17th and the month is ending tomorrow I have not received the INTERVIEW date as of yet. I called and emailed NVC and Consulate both of them only say I have to wait. Please does anyone know how long does it usually take to get a response....I am going crazy waiting for it. Our first anniversary will be in October and I wish he was here with me already so we can celebrate together...Please share your story with me if you are in the same boat or if you waited for a long time

I was talking to my husband on skype and I heard a text message 12:15am ...who can that be??? So I go check my phone and there they are two messages saying my case was updated. I go online and it says approved. Now my hubby and I are so happy we cannot wait for the second half of this process.....Hey everyone hang in there it took us 6 months and 10 days .....wow...I am sooooooooooooooooo happpy :dance:

NVC told me not to translate if documents are in Portuguese but I think I will do it just in case .

A PDF printed certified translation should be fine or should I send a hard copy??

Que eu saiba voce deve submeter traducao juramentada de todos os documentos brasileiros (certidao de nascimento ou casamento).

As far as I know every document should be translated by a certified translator (birth certificate and marriage license)....It doesn't hurt to have everything.

I started my paperwork in November. I called USCIS on the 5th month mark April 4th and nothing....On the 23rd they created a service request. They said I have to wait 30 days. I have seen papers going faster than that. I wonder what is their criteria....I miss my husband. It seems like an eternity. I am really to the point of looking at this site everyday. We talk on skype everyday till we go to sleep but i want him here beside me.

HELLO PEOPLE I WAS WONDERING WHY MOST OF US HAVE FOUND THE LOVE OF OUR LIFE IN OUR NATIVE COUNTRY? WHY WE WERE NOT ABLE TO FIND IT IN THE US?

I am laughing so hard. This is the first time I will reply here....Well I have been here in the US for 19 years and I married an American we had 3 beautiful children and we are very good friends. We divorced, I was alone for 8 years and dated only Americans. As a Brazilian woman I heard...you are too affectionate...lol. My husband is an old friend from high school. We have so many friends in common that our wedding was filled with people TRULY happy for us and the fact we re-connected. So I found love in an old friend. I am very very very happy with him. It is very different to relate to someone that is from the same culture, and has the same beliefs. I believe that people can find love anywhere but in my case I feel the difference and your question hit the spot!!! I just cannot wait no more.....I look at this site everyday. I want to relate to people that are going through the same process. It is driving me crazy to be away from my loving husband.
