  1. Yeah, I paid for both of those about a month ago. I just finished getting all the required paperwork I needed to send out a few days ago. One thing is that on the I864 it asked for 3 years of my income but I just started working for 1 year so I only have income for 1 year. I had to put 0 for the other 2 years. Is that ok?

  2. Thanks for the reply. I have another questions regarding the AOS. I just started working in August 2011 and when I filed tax this year, it was only from August 2011. Before that I was in school so did not work. The tax I filed for 2011 was about $8,500 for the work I did from August 2011. I know that is not enough for the poverty guideline. However, I do have a house that has already been paid off and is under my name and another persons name. The house is worth about $220,000. If you are counting only half of that since the house is under 2 person name, then I will have $110,000. Since I only filed tax of $8,500, can I use my house as the asset for the rest of the other amount? If I do it like that, will I get approve still?

  3. Thank for all the replies.

I am not too worried about the income because I have a house under my name and my cousin. The house is worth at least $220k which if you split in half is $110k each of us. The house has been paid off already so there is no mortgage. With the poverty guideline, if you multiple it by 5, $110k would still cover it if I have a house size of 2.

What I was concerned about the most are the paperwork that are asked to be submitted with the AOS and IV form. The police certificate is very difficult to get in my wifes country. What I wanted to know is if I can submit the forms and not include the police certificate? There are some certificate or document that she doesn't have or can't get. One of them is the police certificate.

You can submit proof of current income like paystubs or an employment letter which shows how much you are earning right now. My husband also just started his job last September 2011, so his income tax return doesn't show much.

  4. Hello, I have currently paid for both the IV and AOS about 2 months ago. Now I am submitting the paperworks for both. I just finished school not to long ago so just got a job. I worked only from Aug. 2011 until now so my income tax return was only for half a year. have about $9,000 total in income because I got started my job in August. I do have a house that is paid off already and it is under my name and 1 of my cousin name. The house is worth about $220,000+ so I was going to use that as an asset to help with my income. I believe that will be enough to cover the poverty guideline.

Now for the paper that I need to submit, I see that they are asking for

    1.Applicant’s Birth certificate:

    2.Petitioner’s Birth Certificate:

    3.Court and prison records:

    4.Deportation Documents:

5.Marriage Certificates and Marriage Termination Documentation:

    6.Military record:

    7.Passport:

    8.Visa photo:

    9.Original Justice Record Check:

    10.Original Foreign Police Certificate:

    11.Evidence of support:

Out of all of those, I have only #1, #2, #5, #7, #8 #11. My wife lives in Vietnam and tried getting the police certificate. It has been a month since she asked for it but they are not providing it for her still. They are just killing time hoping she will give them cash to bribe them into finishing the paperwork. All of the other documents they are asking me, my wife does not have because they don't relate to her. She never done any crime or got deported or went to the military or have justice record. The police certificate I have a feeling I will not get for many months. My question is, can I submit the IV and AOS form and include all the documents I have and can get only or do I have to include all 11 of those item?

  5. One more thing I forgot to mention, I notice that when sending the DS-230 and the I-864 you can attach it to the email for them. Can any country do it or is it for certain ones only? Also when sending all of those through email, do I just attach the copy of the information they ask for with the email also (birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc.)

  6. Hello, I need additional help right now. Can someone please help me. So after what I received in the above post, I just receive another email "aivf for neopost ds-1200.pdf". In this email it asked me to pay the "Immigrant Visa Application Processing Fee Bill Invoice" which is $230. I went ahead and went to the website instructed and paid the $230. The invoice date was April 19, 2012 and I got the email on April 22, 2012. I checked the payment status for my case and this is what it shows "29-MAR-2012 11:52 AOS $88.00 PAID" and "22-APR-2012 19:26 IV $230.00 PAID".

They still have not requested me to send my Affidavit of Support or any other information yet. Since I paid in April 22, I have not gotten further instructions. Am I forgetting to do something or did something wrong or is it suppose to take this long after I pay?

  7. I did sign up for the email notice but I never got any email saying they approved it. The latest email I got was the one I posted above with the DS-3032 form which was in March 22.

The emails I got on march 22 were these 2. subject of the email was "HCMxxxxxxxxxx (ACL FOR NEOPOST DS-1200)(CC)" and "HCMxxxxxxxxxx (PAOSF I-130 FOR NEOPOST DS-1200)"

  8. Thanks for your answer. I haven't got any email saying it was approved yet. The latest email I got was the one with the DS-3032. In that email this is what it says.

  9. I have a question about the I-130. I am from the US and my wife is from Vietnam. I submitted the application in Aug. 2011 and it was received by Sept. 1, 2011.

My status has been on initial review the whole time until March 22, 2012 I got 2 email with the DS-1200. In that email was a pdf file with an invoice asking me to pay the AOS fee of $88. and it had a DS-3032 form in the pdf. My wife is in Vietnam. I forwarded the email to her and had to sign the DS-3032 form and send it to the address stated in the pdf. I also paid the fee of $88 already. It's been about 2 1/2 weeks since my wife mailed the form to the NVC. My status is still showing initial review.

How long does it usually take for the status to update? Also was my wife sending the form ok or was I suppose to send it? Can someone also tell me what is the next step in this process?

    Thanks
