Ok after checking online from Dublin to see what I had to hand in I believe all I had to show to Immigration in Dublin was my passport with B1 visa and CBP Declaration form http://www.cbp.gov/linkhandler/cgov/travel/id_visa/i-94_instructions/sample_cbp_decla.ctt/sample_cbp_decla.pdf
The I-94 is handed out onboard when arriving to the US for travellers who need to pass immigration in the US. I had already passed immigration in Dublin so I was not been inspected in the US so was not given this.
In another link from the Dublin embassy I found that the CBP places a small white card (I-94) in the passport. This never happened either.
Sorry all I was getting confused at first with the I-94 and the CBP declaration I filled out at Dublin airport but I know nobody gave me a I-94.
Sorry for all the confusion people.

I left Dublin, Ireland and flew into JFK and than to my final destination San Francisco. In Dublin I went through US Immigration pre clearance where my passport / visa was stamped and signed. I did not go through immigration in the US nor did I need to hand any form of paper work in.
In filling out the I-485 in the Last place of entry into the United States section will I put DUBLIN? since this is where US Immigration stamped my passport / visa.
Thanks

Hi all, when my pregnant U.S wife is filing the affidavit of support should she include our unborn child. As when it comes to interview date im sure the interviewing officer will notice.
Thanks for reading.

I entered on a B1 business visa. I was entering the U.S on a program which was lasting more than 90 days.

Yes in Ireland you have to go through U.S immigration at the airport prior to boarding your flight and this is where the I-94 is filled out and the offer takes this along with your passport. But all I got back was my passport.
Hope I'm explaining this right because coming from Ireland we deal with immigration before entry to the U.S.
Thanks

I was leaving "for" the U.S from Ireland. I filled out I-94 in Irish airport than went through U.S immigration in Ireland before boarding my flight and the officer held onto the I-94 and just stamped my visa and handed me back my passport.

Hi I'm beginning my paper work to file for adjustment of status here in the US.
On Form I-485 application to register permanent residence or adjust status it requires I-94 number and I have read in searches that a copy of I-94 is required for the adjustment of status process.
When I was leaving for the U.S I went through immigration in Ireland where the immigration took my I-94, he than stamped my Business Visa in my passport and signed the date the visa is valid till. He did not hand back the I-94. Is this going to be a problem for me.
When asked for I-94 record can I use a copy of my B1 Stamped and signed by immigration visa ?
Any help with this much appreciated.

I entered the U.S from Dublin, Ireland on a B-1 Business visa. Immigration officer in Dublin just stamped my visa in my passport signed it B-1 with date to leave and that was it. No I-94 given.
What should I do for a I-94 # ??
