So, the fiscal year in cut off date shows - for 2011 - Nov. - 1 Jan 02

What is that suppose to mean ?

And do you guys have ANY idea of when they will issue visas for those filed in November 2001. I am just in processing since 1 year. Now, plz don't tell me to check visa bulletin, I know... it doesn't give any precise info.

Aaron - So does that mean just from October 1 till September 30... the US government issues the visas ?

So they don't issue the whole year ?

Pls provide more info about the Fiscal year, what does it mean ?

I am trying to keep a track on the fiscal year - FY Cut off dates, but I don't understand what it means and which one I am suppose to follow... the 2011 one ?

And my category is F4, filed in November 2001.

I checked the 2011 column of november and just can't understand.

Pls give me info about the FY - cut off dates.

Iwaiting & Sony - I know it has to be current inorder to get an interview, but how can they do this?

I mean they sent us a letter like 2 years ago telling us that we will be getting an interview soon & now it has been 9 months since our case got completed & giving the fee.. now just AWAITING !! When we met a travel agent, he said visa bulletin is not always right & it might proceed soon, by June - July.

Super Star - Who doesn't wish?! Well, the letter stated nothing, but saying "soon" visa will be issued.

I AM REALLY TENSED. Its taking too long. Our case was completed in May 2011 & until now, we are waiting for an interview date.

Does anybody has any idea how long does it take to transfer our file from NVC to Mumbai Consulate ??

They even sent us an letter saying keep in touch or our fee will expire etc. Soon visas will be issued! But WHEN ????

People say 91 days from case completed but ours is over 4 months!

Also can ANYONE tell me what CUT-OFF DATE is ???? It says 1988 ??? Why 88 ?? =O

Well, you guys haven't moved there yet so don't do that. Provide the address of where your husband lives because if you write a new address & they might send documents onto that address, that will be problem. When you are moving to another state with your husband, then only send an email to NVC notifying them your NEW address. So, you get your documents that in future.

Thats how I have done too, but I forgot to notify them & they sent on the old address... again to resend the letter, it took 3 months! Our case got slow.

Current VB for F4 India is Dec 1, 2000. Your PD is approx 1 year away.

Lol. Thats what I wrote above... visa bulletin is not always right. Does ANYBODY know how much more time this will take ?

Hello Everyone.

I have been awaiting since a year. I have been checking the visa bulletin as well, but if I estimate according to that it will be a year more to go. But in majority cases, its not right. Everyone says it will be eariler but when?

I called the NVC and they say, my case is completed. However, the file has to be transfered to Mumbai Consulate from US consulate. How long is that going to take ??

Also, please can anyone tell me what a cut-off date is ? And why is the year 1988 ???
