I think it would be good to submit a letter or explanation as well as letter from the Vital Records Office. I do not think parent's letter is needed, once you write your own explanaition. If they asked for a new set of documents, just include a cover letter/explanation letter with it and it should be fine. I do not think parent's letter is necessary since you are an adult and your own letter should be sufficient. From what I gathered about Yerevan Consulate they are pretty straight forward. So including all they asked with a short explanaition and official note from Vital Records Office should be sufiicient.

I decided to post here because I initially was under F2A and got a lot of help from all of you before we changed to IR1. My husband's interview was today and we got approved! After 2 hours of nervous waiting He called me and we are done!!!

I hope this review will be helpful to some:

Hubby's interview was in Yerevan Consulate. His interview was for 9:30, he arrived around 9 am, all prepared with tons of documents we had.

To be honest, I did not preload the I-130, just sent the basics, like 15 pictures, marriage certificate, 2 affidavits from family friends, and my own statement of relationship. We had a decent history- dated since high school, but I just sent couple of pictures pre and post wedding. During NVC stage I did not submit any evidence just what was asked by NVC.

Hubby however took skype logs with him, maybe like 1-2 from every 2 months starting in 2011 (that's when i filled), all my tickets from back and forth and passport stamps (almost twice a year I went to see him for like a month or so), ATT call logs which just showed his calls and my texts , nice photo album from 2003-2013. Anyway he was ready with updated co sponsor financial info, police certificate and copies of everything because I am paranoid

Our main concerns was that he had TWO denied B2 visas from 6 months before our marriage. CO did address that as we predicted. CO asked whether he was planning to visit me, to which hubby honestly replied, that no he was invited to participate in a work -related activity, CO said OK. Than they asked who I live with, if I have brothers sisters, whether he remembers our wedding date, where I work or study , what my parents do, and whether we live together when I visit. That was it!!!!

I am so beyond happy that I cannot express it!!!! I wish everyone to be with their spouses soon and I know how hard it is (we waited for 5 years), but hang in there

How wonderful, when I was nervously waiting for my package for Armenia to show up on this list - it never did, Now when our interview is in just 2 weeks, they have Armenia shippments every day So ironic

sign in failed has no relevance with cut off date bcaz many people can sign in even after getting their IL

I did that. I had a flight on Tuesday, and went to Philadelphia Passport agency on Friday. I made an appointment by phone for 8:30. Got there around 8:45am and had my passport at 12pm. All you need is your Naturalization Cert, Flight information (they just need to see the date on it-must be within 2 weeks), passport photo and money. As I was there there were people who had no appointment but still were able to get their passports. Having an appointment gives you a piece of mind though. It was fast and totally worth that extra 60$.

My case has been complete since May 2012,interview is scheduled and the documents are in the Embassy, but I can still Sign In....so I am not sure that the SIF is relevant at this point.

Even though not on the DHL list, my package made it safely to the Embassy So those of you who cannot find it through DHL give it 5-7 days and contact the Embassy as the wonderful True_loves_journey suggested Thank you for so much help!

Call and email them with all your information, and they should be able to tell you what to do exactly. I am sure it will be quick and you should not have troubles with the army as long as he has his "voenii bilet" Good luck!

The embassy is in Yerevan, so it should be pretty quick I suppose. From what I've seen they tend to give an interview within 1-2 months of case complete for most immigrate visas so that is not so bad.

It is not quicker for the father. She can have a K-2 issued in a matter of a few weeks, tops. Whatever the lead time is for the interview. She can call and make an appointment for the interview today. Use the same NVC case number as for her K-1 visa.

Thanks for clariying that that is why I said "might" and "not sure" because I am not familiar with K2 timelines. I did not want to give misleading info I am glad you were able to give a better and much happier news I guess if the K1 is still within the time frame, than the son can be here very very soon

You have given me confidence. You explain very clearly because I was really confused reading all laws and regulations. On May it will be one year as his dad applied. You are very welcome, once his dad upgrades your son's case and his I-130 is upgraded and approved (here are the processing times https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do;jsessionid=bac6UlsoGP3h0gf1hL5Zt) NVC and Consulate should take about 6 months after that. Because you said that he applied in May 2012, it is outside of the processing time, so once it is upgraded to Immediate relative category, it will most likely be approved shortly after. And after that should not take too long to get your son here. The other benefit is that he will get a green card and will not have to go through AoS that I think you do with K2. but again, I have not dealt with K2 so I do not know the processGood Luck!

It actually might be quicker and easier if your son's father does it. Once he is a citizen, because your son is under 21 he would be an Immidiate relative, thus should get everything within a year. So if his dad is a citizen in May, your son might get his papers by New Year once his case is upgraded .... K 2 I am not sure about maybe someone else can comment on that. Good luck!

Same here..NVC said shipped on 15th. Still cannot see it. I think that maybe because Monday was a federal Holiday it is late being put in into the system...

The most annoying thing happened today....I get a call from DOS saying that our interview has been RESCHEDULED to a later dateAlmost dropped dead than she says, it is now on March 21, not March 11. I asked WHY? she says be happy it is in March not April. ....... Well, i waited an hour and called DOS again to make sure...they say, yup rescheduled because apparantely Armenia only conducts immigramt interviews on Tuesday and Thursday and yours was on Monday....he goes you are lucky you got March, we moved couple of people to April Just got the new letter for March 21 ..... I figured I should be thankful for that, it is just 10 days from our original date but still 11 sounded so much better I knew something was not right since they had not shipped my case yet

Quick question : do you by any chance know when usually the packet is send to Embassy? Is it once the interview is scheduled....? NVC send me a letter that the case is now forwarded to Embassy since we got interview date, but that was on Friday and I do not see our country on the list... or do I need to call NVC to see when they will send it? (I really do not want to call them anymore

Just wanted to send my good wishes to all who is waiting!!! NVC just started scheduling IR1 interviews, so I am sure your I/Ls are on the way. I upgraded from F2A and just got my IL latter. Stay strong, there is good waiting for all in the end of this long and hurtful process Good luck to everyone!!!
