So a quick summary of my wife's interview this past Tuesday May 30th at Santa Ana office.

 

She was scheduled for 10:10AM. We were seated in the waiting room at about 9:30AM. To our surprise she was called at 10:07AM.

 

She got the first 6 answers correct (she has been daily studying all 100 for months now) and then breezed through the English writing.

 

Asked very detailed questions, for 35 minutes, with questions asked again and again in a slightly different roundabout way about: (1) each of the 7 trips/visits to her home country (2) extensive questions about my past divorces (3) addresses of the 3 residence we have lived in the past 5.5 years (4) how we met originally over 6 years ago (5) my profession and company's that I worked for and what my specialty is (6) how we file and pay for federal taxes, etc., etc., etc.

 

She passed as she answered everything honestly. She entered at 10:07M and finished at 10:55AM.

 

She was then told that because they were so busy it would be 3 to 4 months that she would get scheduled for the oath ceremony and to be looking for the letter in 3 or 4 months.

 

Stay tuned.

I just wanted to let you know we received the letter with the oath ceremony information last Saturday.  She is scheduled for June 22 at 9:45 at the Grove of Orange.  Hope you get yours scheduled soon.  The case check in site says the oath ceremony has been scheduled.  If you do not receive your letter by July 4, please let us know.  I am unsure as to when the notice on the site changed.

Thank you.  Yes, that is true.  She learned all about her lawyer's life.  So, at least it was interesting.  LOL

FYI:  At the interview daughter in law answered 6 questions correctly and had to write like what has been previously reported.  She was asked and answered every question on the application form.  She had to wait over 2 hours to be called in for the interview.  She was accompanied by her attorney.  She was approved, was told her oath ceremony would be June 22 and to look for a letter to confirm everything.

On March 24, we got the notice we were scheduled for the interview.  We have not received the letter with the date yet.  How long does it take to get the letter from when the notice gets changed on the site?  Anyone have a guess?

I thought so, ;-).  When we filed we were told they moved pretty quickly in Santa Ana.  It does not seem so at this point.  Good luck to you for a rapid process.

D N Medellin COL I don't see Long Beach listed as a USCIS office.  Is Long Beach where you filed?  We live in Huntington Beach and filed in Santa Ana.

I am a new member to this VJ site and a dedicated member to I2US. I will be willing to post my HSL for a reference to show peeps how to start their own letter.

You see when I found out my husband would have to file for an I-601 I needed lots of questions answered. I didn't know where to Start or how to start my letter. So I read thru the many Approved HSL letter posted on the I2US site and it help me out (ten full).

I got good pointers here and there.

So if a MOD reads this topic. I would love to post my HSL without the personnal names and so on to have peeps use as a reference.

I just got this message from Marie at I2US:

The forum is back.

We had some major issues. The downfall is, we can’t recover the database. The data isn’t lost but we can’t get the posts uploaded anymore so we started over.

I do have the posts and am recovering all the hardship letters and will post them over the next few days.

Everyone will have to reregister. We also switched to vbulletin : )

I think things will go a lot smoother now.

Sorry for all the inconvenience and let people know please that we are back.
