    Hi !

    We filed April 25th and still no email or text...I'm starting to stress out...I double checked everything Im so worried something might get wrong....How long does it usually take to receive something? It says they got the package on April 27th so a friday morning...I really hope we have something tomorrow or monday because its driving me nuts!

    Hi,don't worry sometimes it takes 1 month for you to get a notification from them.. We got a rejection notice because I signed at the wrong box.. We sent it back last sat. And they got it Monday.. they attached a green paper saying to put in the front to flag them that it was resubmitted or maybe to process it right away some received text/email as early as 2 day and didn't hear from them still..let just wait and pray.. I know your worried but patience is the key..gudluck

    since got cashiers check from bank maybe return to the same bank and ask them cash it and issuce 2 checks ??

    hello jessie!we filed for AOS for k1 and k2. April 18,2012.And as of now we haven't received any news from USCIS.I also signed all the forms for my daughter and just wrote mother after my signature.i signed in the area prepared by applicant and also signed in the area where it says prepared by other than the applicant.Although we wrote 2 separate checks for each application,i am still worried upon reading your post.keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best regarding our AOS papers.pls keep me posted.thanks.tc.

    I think yours will come soon, they said they will send NOA1 up to 30 days so no worries, will re send ours tomorrow..

    So what does the RFE say? Does it say the payment is incorrect? Send 2 cheques. One for your son and one for yourself.

    1. Yes. $635 for the child, $1070 for you.

    2. You're supposed to sign in the ACTUAL signature box and write "mother" next to it as well as filling in the section of who prepared this form...

    3. Did you submit separate copies of documents for the child? Did you send a copy of the NOA2 (petition approval notice) with both your and your son's packet

    The NOA1 is not needed. it's likely they saw that and missed the NOA2.

    We sent a cashier's check from bank, if we're going to send another check it will take some time for the money to get back in the bank. The reason we haven't filled right away coz money was tight. so that's the only money we got for now is the cashiers check. i didn't signed the signature box. maybe that's what is missing. thank you so much

    We need more information regarding your filing. Are you a K1 or adjusting from visitor visa? Did you file I-693, I-864 & I-765 along with the I-485? Your fee is $1070 for I-485 and $685 for you child. You need to send separate AOS petitions and because your child is a minor, you need to sign on his behalf.

    so i can sign the applicant's statement and check one of those box and i will sign the signature on behalf of my son?

    k1/k2 and we're adjusting our status. we did file I-693, I-864 along with i485 we sent just 1 check a total of $1705.00 that's what i did i signed his application on his behalf..don't know wat else to think of

    here's the thing we got a rejection notice from USCIS and they return all of the papers that we sent. WE sent AOS papers for me and my son.

    1.) the payment should be $1705 right? my son is 5 years old.

    2.) It says a signature is not contained in the signature block of the application or petition. A signature in the "signature of a person preparing form,if other than above" block is not a valid signature for this purpose. Please sign and resubmit the application with the appropriate fees. My son can't sign as an applicant he's 5 years old. I signed the signature preparing form and i put mother on the side.

    3.) Based on the information you provided. your priority date could not be established. please resubmit your application with the proper documentation.

    The following documents may be provided:

    what does that mean? we haven't filed this forms????

    How long should I wait?

    I sent the full AOS package in to the Chicago Lock box two weeks ago (Thursday, April 12), USPS confirmed delivery on Saturday, April 14, but I haven't gotten anything from USCIS confirming that they have the package, nor have they cashed the check ($3,210 for 3 people).

    Am I worried about nothing? The few timelines I've looked at seem to indicate that I should have at least gotten the email/text notification that they have the package, no?

    Hi there.. we're in the same situation we sent ours on 13 and they delivered it the next day (april 14) business is closed and was re delivered on the 16, until now i didn't have any notification yet.. did u have a tracking record? did u used USPS? did u track it? mine was signed by J.C. I'm very worried too.. i called them yesterday and told me our packet was not been processed yet cuz it's not in their system.. very frustrating, but we have to wait for a month if nothing happens call them again.. I used cashiers check so it's hard to monitor if they already cashed the check.. all we have to do is wait and pray.. I hope they didn't lost it..that's my only fear.. goodluck to us..
