On the I-864 form because your wife is a USC that means she files taxs so it would be from her income. For the last two years

If you filed together this year that would mean both your income. That would mean both your income for 2011 unless she is still not working than it would be all yours....

on the form i-864 q25 it asks for federal income tax return reported income. here is the situation

in year 2011 my wife (usc) had no income and i (h-1b) had all the income. we were married in 2011 so we filed joint. so when it asks for total income in the three most recent years is it just the sponsors? or just the total income on the return?

the exact question is

My total income (adjusted gross income on IRS Form 1040EZ) as reported on my Federal tax returns for the most recent three years was:

tax year total income

2011 (most recent) ???

2009 (2nd most recent) 0

...

since this is from the sponsors perspective, what does "my total income" stand for in year 2011?
