OK, maybe you just misspelled Eritrea....and yes, there is no longer a US Embassy open there...in fact, the entire country is practically locked down.

anyway, in DC there is a large Eritrean immigrant population....in fact, a young male Eritrean was just arrested there for setting a fire that practically burned down an apartment building full of other Eritreans.

perhaps she is now homeless in DC or is driving/living in one of the Yellow Cabs found at Dulles or National airports.

Has anyone ever thought she is still in Eritrea? This wouldn't be the first scam where someone was sending all the fees and plan fare and nothing was spent on what it was supposed to go for. Are you talking on the phone or the internet? Try to get her to email you. The ip of the email should give a general idea of where she is.

We have talked on the internet TWICE and i talked 2 her on the phone a few times since she been in the US

i truelly appreciate everyone help on my situation.I have decided that i will not contact her anymore and i will ignore all her calls after 90 days i will call ICE again. Isn't Eretrea is Greece? Why in world would you go to the embassy in Kenya (famous for being tough) and not to Athens? That doesn't make any sense to me. This whole story is strange.

You see i sent her the money to buy the ticket then she told me she could get a better deal and then she went and brought the ticket to DC instead of Chicago.I called ICE a bit ago they told me after 90 days she will be illegal they told me not to marry her to protect myself. they told me i will need to get her info and address where she is at after 90 days they want me to contact them again.I was thinking how i can get the address from her thanks for the idea.

Where is she from? How did you meet?

If you believe that you've been used it's best to have no in person contact with her. That way there can be no allegations of any sort of mistreatment. Call and write ICE. Document EVERYTHING.

That certainly doesn't sound like the typical K1 story. Sorry to hear things are off to a stressful start.

From what you've told us here it does seem that being with you is not high on her priority list.

If she wants to stay, she has to marry you. There is a small, small chance for her to adjust status without marrying you. But that's not something you should hold out as a threat or inducement to come to you.

My personal opinion: be very wary and don't allow your emotions to cloud your judgement. Have you talked about you going to DC to meet her and the family? If she says no, then it is sounding more like you're being taken advantage of.
