I was just messing around on the comp and thought I would check the status of my petition. I was just wanting to see if they updated that I had done my biometrics thingie....I was shocked and had to re-read, but we are approved!
Application Type: CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED
Current Status: Approval notice sent.
On September 25, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.
Time line for those wondering -
July 24/07 ( I think) mailed I-751 to TSC
NOA dated July 27/07 from CSC received Aug 24/07 (I think)
Cheques cashed Aug 24/07
Biometrics Sept 13/07
Approval Sept 25/07
I really thought they were going to RFE us as I really sent minimal items in. Though, I guess the birth cert of our son is a good piece of evidence
Cheers and a speedy process for all!

We had some issues with the mail being delivered to the wrong addy when we sent out our package. I too was very nervous as I had not heard anything and my GC expires on 09/13.
You might want to call the 1-800 mis-information line and see if you can get put through to an immigration officer. The one I spoke to was really helpful and had said that if we had not heard anything by the end of Aug, to call back and they would be able to produce one so that I would not be out of status while waiting on the extension letter.
Good luck!

Hope that helps a little bit

So, here I was all worried that the US mail had sent the certified letters to the wrong addy's (I sent out the lifting conditions and a change of addy on the same day! I don't recommend doing this in case of such a screw up). I called the 1-800 number last week to find out what I should do if this was the case. The lady I spoke to was really nice and had no idea what to do; so she transfered me to an immigration officer! First time in almost 4 years that this has happened!
He was the nicest person and really helpful! I was shocked! He told me that everything had been received, gave me a receipt number and said that if I had not received an extension letter by the end of the month, Aug, to call back and have them give me to another immigration officer so they could get one out before my temp card expired. I was literally floored..as I have never had someone so nice on the other end from immigration!
I received my letter on Thursday and was quite relieved. I filed at the TSC and it was transfered to the CSC.
I received another letter on Friday, exact same letter as the one Thursday.
And Saturday I received two on the same day! lol
Needless to say I am keeping them all!!!
Thought I would share my little giggle with you all

Well, hopefully they will miss that it was done on the wrong version of the form <you never know!>
If not, just be prepared for when it comes back to you so you can send out the new one the same day.
Good luck to you and I'm sure everything will work out well for you and your family!

We sent our application out to the TSC on July 27 and just received our NOA today from the CSC. The cheque still has not been cashed.
Give it a bit more time as they seem to be back logged down at the TSC again.
Good luck!

I am pretty sure they stopped doing that one shot where it left the small round circle on your arm by 1973. I was born in May of '73 and don't have one. I remember when I was little complaining to my mom that everyone in the family had except for me, how come?
So between '69 and '73, lol yes, I know a long gap...they stopped doing this vacc.
Cheers,

LOL you ever notice that anything that can go wrong will go wrong?
I sent off two packages the same day, one to the Texas Service Center with my I-751 <lifting conditions> and another envelope to the London, KY office that was for change of address. Apparently, the lady who took the forms I filled out for certified mail, return receipt etc, put the wrong forms on the wrong items. I guess it's my fault for not asking to see the packages after she placed all the stuff on it. I had filled in all the forms, addressed all the envelopes, return addy etc for everything and they still messed it up!
So, it seems, and I can't verify this or not...that the London, KY office received my I-751 and the TSC received my change of addy.
What is really strange is that the receipt confirmation that I received from the London office has the TSC addy in Mesquite right on the green sheet of paper that was sent to me! /sigh
So, at this point I'm not sure what I should as I am not even sure that they were sent to the wrong place! lol talk about a silly mess.
I am not freaking out yet...though my temp gc expires Sept 12/07! and I am too aware of how long the TSC takes to do things including sending back a form that was sent to the wrong address! I am a little pissed that I am going to have to pay the price hikes though, but if I look at the big picture, I guess it's better than the alternative!
Looking for ideas

It is funny that you mention Dave Ramsey, because I love to listen to him. If you haven't heard his program you should take a peek at it..we are just tracking our expenses here and about to start on the 'debt snowball'. Really glad we have very little debt, but it still drives me crazy that dh likes the credit cards so much!
Oh, and not sure where I heard it...I think it was Dave Ramsey, that the number one cause of divorce in America, was related to money issues.

ace13 - It is difficult traveling and with a little one, it just compounds it. I really recommend that when the plane is landing and taking off, to bf the baby...it really helps with the pressure for such a little one.
Good luck!

It makes me laugh when anything said remotely related to Muslim is negative...someone always pulls out the Jewish/Israeli card holds it up and makes a comparison. Why is that?
I also had to laugh at the person who made reference to Jews being outraged if anyone had depicted a cartoon of the holocaust etc etc etc ...and then goes on to use the word 'chutzpah'.
Now that really is chutzpah
Wow! Approved!

LOL! I can just imagine the look on the person's face when they go through your packet! I am sure all will be fine, specially if they have a sense of humour!
Cheers,
