  1. Congrats GV2025!!!!

I have a question about general time it takes to get interview scheduled... does it seem like there's a monthly cut-off date (if you will)? Like those completed by end of month, is that enough to get in for the next month's scheduling fiesta (the ACT of being scheduled, not the interview)? Or do you need to get it done by mid-month to get on the board for the next month??

Well my case was completed Aug. 15 and I was told it would be scheduled the second week of next month which is this week!!! But I read there is some lucky cases that get their interview dates schedule on any other day of the month. Like Saylin for example!

  2. Um, that's definitely weird blink.gif I don't think I've ever seen a case that was completed at NVC and returned to USCIS....

I'd suggest calling NVC, requesting for a supervisor (operators probably won't be able to help), and them ####### is going on. If they can't help, call USCIS again and request for a Tier 2 representative. Hopefully one (or both) of those people can help you figure out what's going on. You can also try calling DOS, but I'm not sure if they'd be able to help (worth a shot though in your case).

    Thanks, Saylin!

I tried both.. But NVC supervisor said there is no information on why it was sent back and the operator gave me more info she said USCIS had requested the case back!!! It was requested on AUG 31st and they sent it back Sep 7th. I think it probably has not arrived back to USCIS. I will try calling them back next week . The USCIS tier 2 rep said your petition was approved FEB 9 2012 and it was forwarded to NVC... which I already knew but I figured they would know why they want the case back!!! I really taught all the waiting was almost over. But I guess it is like I always say " Things happen for a reason GOD knows why he wants us to hold alittle longer"

  3. :help: Well here I am again lost in nowhere! Our case was completed on Aug 15th I was calling every single day to see if an interview had been scheduled! Same answer as everyone else "NVC only schedules interviews the 2nd week of each month". So today is day 1 of the second week of September! I called and the operator said your case has been RETURNED to USCIS per their request!!! I called USCIS immediately after talking to NVC and they dont know why it was sent back. The supervisor said "give us ONE MONTH to update the information in the system" This is just getting so annoying! All this wait just to go BACK to square one. Does anyone know what is going on? I have not read or heard about such a procedure! Please help :help:
  4. Okay got this lovely piece of news about 30 minutes ago. Yes its day 28. So much for being approved in 3 months. Saylin anyone is their someone I can call? USCIS or just sit and wait. So sad.:crying:

    Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) has not yet received this petition from

U.S. Citizenship Immigration Service (USCIS). Please be advised that

it can take approximately 30-45 days from the date of approval for a

petition to be forwarded to the National Visa Center for processing. So,

please allow ample time for file transfer. Once we (NVC) have received

your petition, the appropriate agent will receive further instructions.

    Sincerely,

    Morgan

Sorry to hear this happening again! The exact thing was happening on my petition. I received the approval on FEB 9 and NVC never received it... I would call every single day and one day in April I got the good news that they had received it...to my surprise i had to WAIT another 20 days to get a case #... a couple of days later I call again as suggested by everyone here on VJ and the operator said it had not been received...I called USCIS and they told me "It is not an issue until it reaches 90 days" I waited the 90 days and USCIS said "now it is an issue 90 days is such a long wait. Please allow us 45 days to research were your petition was sent. I waited 45 MORE days and I was about to file for USCIS to send a duplicate which i read costs about $400. The following morning I called and there it was received at NVC since April. I asked for an expedite but the lady said they only expedite when it is a life or death situation. My suggetion to you is don't let any days pass by without calling and try to get names of the people you talk to at NVC and USCIS. And one more thing get your congressman involved, most of the time they get things done faster

  5. I just received the following email from NVC inquiry:

A letter was sent to the petitioner or attorney of record indicating the Affidavit of Support requirement for this case is incomplete. Please submit the requested Affidavit of Support form(s) and/or financial evidence, as indicated on the checklist. The requested information must be submitted to the NVC for this file to continue processing.

I already sent in the complete AOS form and supporting document on July 13th! Would it only be a FALSE checklist?

  6. Once NVC has received payments for Affidavit of Support (AOS) and Immigration Visa (IV) processing fees, then they will be ready to review your all provided documents in AOS and IV package. Typically they review each package in one week from the date they have received in their office. Call NVC everyday to know the status update on your document review. FYI, NVC won't send any notification on case complete. They send an email notification only when there is checklist or interview date assigned. Once your case is complete at NVC, it will be placed in a queue to schedule the first appointment available in foreign consulate.

Does NVC send an email out accepting the AOS and the IV package? or I should be calling to verify it has been accepted?

  7. I received the same message back in Dec. 2011. I was not asked to appear for an interview I was only asked to send in proof of bona fide marriage and any documents my husband had for his "catch & release" which we don't but I wrote a letter explaining we did not have any paperwork. I sent in the documents and got the approval letter on FEB. 9!! So basically I believe its an RFE!

  8. My wife did her ASC in her hometown (Tijuana) a week or so ahead of her interview. If you're near a city that has an ASC center, I strongly suggest doing it there—you'll save the time and extra expense of staying in Juarez another day. You can use http://usvisa-info.com/ to schedule your ASC appointment for any time before your interview.

My wife arrived in Juarez Sunday night, did the medical on Monday, and had the interview on Tuesday. She did NOT opt to stay in Juarez and wait for the visa; through the same usvisa-info.com site, she requested that it be delivered to Tijuana.

She had her interview Tuesday morning, and left to go home that afternoon. Thursday morning, her visa arrived in Tijuana.

Your mileage may vary, but it was a two-day turnaround for us, and in another city to boot.

What is the ASC appointment for? Where do I read about it?

  9. what is the number to call to know if NVC received my file ?

my application was approved on 02 april .... AM I out of timeframe ,,,???

    Thank you .regards

You should call (603) 334-0700... I called 1000 times after I got the great news...and I will keep calling until I get the NVC #!!!!

  10. Thanks for the observation GoingCrazy2012 but i did spell it right on the email.. I even got the confirmation.. I emailed the NOA 2 to NVC on Mar 14... And still no answer. I called USCIS as well but they told me that it was not an issue until after it hits 90 days. Which MAKES NO SENSE to me!!!

  11. Wow ohmy.gif You should 100% have a case number by now. That is WAY too long.

When did you email the NOA2 to NVC? You haven't heard back yet on that?

Have you tried speaking to a supervisor at NVC about this?

I was waiting for the 30 days the letter says to wait before you contact NVC so I called & sent the email on 3/14/2012, and received automated response that same day and confirmation from an actual rep on 3/21/2012.

No I have not asked for a supervisor, what exactly should I tell him to get things rolling?

  12. On Feb 9. 2012 I received notification that the I-130 had been approved! I was so excited  to hear such wonderful news. Its now been 38 BUSINESS days :clock: and still have not gotten any information from NVC. I call every two days they tell me the same. I already emailed a copy of my NOA2 to NVCreaserch@state.gov. What else can I do I'm really starting to worry i've seen other cases after me getting case numbers? Were is my file? Plese help!!! :help:
