  1. They lost the I-864 too? Wow. When you first sent the I-864 you were making enough on your own? Did your current pay rate reduce since then?

Usually you cannot include the foreign spouse's income because they are not allowed to have one yet at the time they file for AOS. Your situation is a bit different because they lost the first one and want another. He is working legally at present time, so I would go ahead and include it. You need to include proof the income will continue. Easy to do with a letter from his employer listing his salary and stating he has a permanent position that will continue once he becomes a permanent resident. If you have any assets, like money in savings that could make up for the shortcoming, I would list those too, just in case.

NO i make the same, we just did not pay attention i guess to the 125% i went with the 100% which i made above. But thank you very much for your help, it's highly appreciated.

  2. My case was transferred on 3rd of August 2012 and i'm still waiting on it. it's almost 8 months. I contacted my congressman and he asked for my information.

After i mailed him my info i received a letter from his office witch said that he received my info and that he contacted USCIS and as soon as

he gets an answer from USCIS he will contact me. I don't know what to do any more i'm just pissed about this delay. I also read that after 8 months the USCIS might ask for the Immunizations record again since that form is only valid for 6 months....MUST BE A JOKE... it is not my fault that those IDIOTS need so log.

  3. Hi guys i need some help i'm confused.. I see that many of you finished their adjustment of status based on K-1 visa in less than 4 months. My case has been sent to the CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER and it's been over 5 months now since my bio-metrics were taken. I still have not heard anything from them. If anyone had their case processed in the California service center can you tell me how long it really took you. I checked the time line on it and it takes over 20 month which does not make any sense while other services finish them in less than 4 months. PLEASE HELP. .. Thank you!

  4. Hey guys i need some advice. Getting a bit worried. I am in the process of getting my green card.. It's been over 4 months now since i had my bio metrics done. I checked the processing timelines on some of the other ppl here on visa journey and everyone took less time to get their green card. Any hints on what i should do, beside calling the CISI office?? ( i know how "help full" they are  ... Your feed back is highly appreciated.. thanks!!

  5. Hello guys,

Do they really send email and text confirmations when you are approved? I am obsessed with checking the USCIS website and feel like i need to stop it, but I want to know as soon as it is approved and I am worried that maybe they won't send the email/text notification. Are there people out there who got approved but did not get an email/text confirmation from USCIS?

Now i need to apply for a green card, can someone please tell me what forms i need to fill out and what documents i need to send in.

  7. I wanted to say Thank you to everyone who has spoken with me, answered questions, and even the other's who have posted forums that have calmed my nerves. I just spent the entire morning reading postings on peoples experiences with the Amsterdam Embassy regarding their interviews and most of them went into grand detail about how they were treated, what to expect, what we need, everything we could possibly think of and I have to say we are 23 days away from our interview and I have been on wits end trying to make sure I have everything in order. The right size photos, the proper documents, photographs, call logs, email logs, proof of income. Everything! You name it I've probably got it shoved in a folder in this heaping pile of documentation that I seem to carry around with me no matter where I go! I know my family probably thinks I have gone nuts lol!

Anyway, long story short. Thank you everyone for sharing their experiences with us because it has definitely gave me peace of mind. We are looking forward to hopefully sharing good news in a few short weeks :)

    Thanks again!

Don't worry you'll be fine it's not that bad.. I passed the interview yesterday it was very easy i thought it would be much harder but it isn't..

  8. Congrats....Only 10 mins....wow...So what was it like? What did they ask you? Did you have the translator or...?

Any info would be gratly appreciated.

I didn't have a translator and i don't think that they give you one... the consul is the one who decides are you approved or not.... the only thing that he asked me was 'how long do u know each other'.....and then he pulled a pic and asked me where was this pic taken...... that's all........... but i had already a visa before on 10 years it was a B1/B2
