Hi. I wanted to you ask you guys for a suggestion/opinion.

We mailed out everything March 28 or so and received a noa1 dated 4/7. Wife got the appt for biometrics on May 4. Since that day, we haven't received anything and the website never seemed to update. We called to day and the guy honestly just read what we could read on the website. There's nothing new he could tell me.

Only thing he says is that possibly, we could have gotten a new receipt number at biometrics. Could this be true? I'm going to check when i get back home later today and verify this. Even if it's the case, we still haven't heard back and that seems like it's been too long already.

What do you guys think?

Is your wife an early filer?

i'm assuming you're asking if she filed at the earliest day she was allowed based on her eligibility (3 years as i'm a citizen). Then yes, we filed 1 month before the full 3 yrs. Does that affect?

Like i mentioned before, bio-metrics were done a full week ago and it still hasn't updated. I wonder how you guys know when the letters and notifications are mailed out.

I sent something on UPS in Feb and i sent DHL in the summer and didnt have a problem. I sent it in November and this is what DHL said to me.

I sent just documents in a DHL package. The exact words from the Russian DHL were pretty much the same American DHL said to me. Its a ban to personal mail in Russia. I received it in a nice formal DHL letter.

If its only DHL, then i dont understand why DHL says Russia in general has the ban.

I wanted to share this information. I sent my fiancee my documents for her interview and we had a problem and it got returned. Long story short, do not send any package to your loved ones house or its going to get returned and you are going to loose time and money.

I ended up sending the package again to a friends business since she wasn't working anymore. The package must be sent to a business or it will be returned.

Here is the letter DHL sent me :

In response to your inquiry concerning the above referenced shipment, DHL Worldwide Express has traced this shipment through our shipping cycle and has ascertained the following:

Well after 2.5 flight delay, after 1.5 hrs waiting in line for immigration, after 1.5 additional hours waiting for an entry interview, then finding her bags, she finally made it out 4 hrs after arriving to the USA.

She was asked simple questions as how she met me and when was the wedding date. Additionally they explained to her what would happen if we didnt get married in less than 90 days. More than 3+ hrs waiting for a 2 min interview.

Other than that, shes finally home! :dance: :dance:

She was there for 3 hours but the actual interview only lasted 5 minutes. 1 question on how we met and when was the last time we saw each other and we got approved. They did ask her in English and she answered well.

I can relax now finally!

Tonight 10 pm US Central time is our Interview. The time is here. I hope all you guys doing well with the plans. We are so nervous but at the same time, we have reviewed many times our packet and we have it all. I hate to say our future depends on someone who is going to profile our relationship.

Russian goverment has put a temporary ban on ALL shipments from individuals to individuals. it wasn't anything we did other than the fact we weren't supposed to send to her house in the first place cus it was never gonna clear up cus of this ban.

Way to go DHL. Now my package is gonna be stranded for a month or so in Russia and we have a lot of printing to do. I guess my only concern is the forms I have to sign like the I-134 And the G325a.

Who knows, maybe its not that important to be original signatures and they can be copies. All the other things i signed like the updated letter of intent doesn't matter really if its a copy i think.

Wow I hope it gets resolved quickly! Did USPS not deliver it fast enough or charge too much? That's who I used.

I didnt even try USPS. DHL seems to worky pretty good everytime so i stuck with them.

Same in spain i think. My fiancee was told by her friend that married a Spaniard that she was going to need that certificate (takes about 3 wks also). But i told her that in USA we dont need such thing.

Update on our case, We have our interview next Tuesday. My DHL packet has been detained. I sent her all the forms and supporting docs last week and its been detained by DHL customs in Moscow.

Apparently they want to send it back as of today because DHL put a value of 5 dollars on the documents. And basically , forms cant have a value specially if they're going to an individual. Soooo, instead of releasing my documents package worth 5 bux, the man i spoke to earlier said they were sending back...

Then i got DHL usa involved and they set some kind of ticket on it and they're trying to release. I prepared another packet this morning. Its always faster the second time and i dropped off the DHL office. They're going to ship out tomorrow morning again if it doesnt get released tonight (Moscow Morning).

I was reading that we need a certified translation of the birth certificate which we have as we sent originally when we filed back in March.

However now we have interview coming up and I only have this copy of this translation. Do we need a new certified signed translation or is a copy sufficient?

Here is the packet. Half is forms, passports, translations, certifiates and so on. But the main part is on the relationship pictures, emails, telephone logs, text msgs and chats.
