Praying for everyone to finally be with their loved ones!!

-
I really hope so!! In sha Allah going to call them tomorrow again
-
I called nvc and they said my case has been completed and sen oct 12 2012t... Now we're just waiting for the interview date..... I hate the wait ???????? how Long does it take to get an interview date? It's for my husband (cr1) islamabad
-
Mine took around 13 days after case completion
How can you check? Did they send you paper work or email?
-
I admit. You are so right! I think im just in denail... Its justt that this process takes so much out of one person... But I will def keep you guys posted!! Thanks
-
Thanks. I will. Obviously if it happens... Then I have no choice. Inshallah I'll be prepared if it does.
-
Um.... Gee thanks. So what no one thinks positively. It's pretty disgusting... I was thinking having a website like this.. People would show moral support since they are going thru the same situation.

I don't know exactly how many....but she's handled cases for family friends and all together it was for 8 people. 7 from Pakistan and 1 from Dubai.
-
I spoke to my lawyer & she said shes never had a problem with AP in pakistan. Hoping for the best. I still have loads of time before they even schedule the interview but can't blame a girl for wanting to see her hubby soon. & to answer your previous question: I really can't go to see him right now. I'm a full time student (23 years old) and I work as well. So me leaving to see him temporary wouldn't be a good idea. Still determined to see him this year in the US!
Pray for us.

This definitely just made me depressed sigh. Okay inshallah hoping everything goes well. I was hoping that he'd be here by august.. Or September at the latest.

Got an email from NVC... We finally got a case number. working on i864. Will be mailing it out tomorrow!!
-
Yay!! I got an email from NVC stating that they have given us a case number!! One step closer to bring my husband here I'm working on getting my papers together for the I 864. I don't meet the requirements so my parents will co sponsor me.
Anyone going through the same thing as me? My husband lives in Pakistan. Does anyone know how much longer will it take?
-
Okay so I called the NVC & they said that they started processing my case on May 24 2012. They sent over the letter for me to submit fees to my lawyer. Yay! I'm happy that there is some progress. Waiting feeling like nothing is happening. Okay so the NVC lady said something about that the $88 is for the processing fee in which they will check my financial background, finances etc... Then there will be a $238 (not exactly sure) fee which will be for the interview things.
My question is how long does the process take from here? & is this considered the consular process?
-
Yay!!! I opened a letter today from USCIS 23 April 2012. It said that my i130 has been approved and someone will contact the beneficiary... My lawyer also emailed me and said to just wait for 6-8 weeks before starting the consular process.
??????
- How much longer now?
- What is a consular process?
-
Great, so you're on the timeline for USCs instead of LPRs now, which means that a visa is immediately available, and the I-130 is eligible to be adjudicated now.
This is not necessary--people frequently change their I-130s from LPR to USC, usually by submitting proof of naturalization. It can be advantageous to switch the petition from the LPR shelf to the USC shelf instead of re-filing because there may have been work done on the I-130 already, and you can avoid fees, etc.
The 30-45 days service request thing is just what they tell you--the switch happens relatively quickly and often the I-130 is adjudicated some short time after the switch is made.
Do you know how much longer the process will take? Like in general......
-
I got a letter from USCIS & it said that my petition has been updated to citizenship from LPR ??
-
So I got in contact with USCIS.I spoke to an Officer. She told me that she would put a service request in to ensure that the process gets resolved within the next 30-45 days.
What the HELL ado does this even mean....?!? ???????????
-
Thanks!! I'm going to get in touch with them soon inshAllah and let you guys know! ?? for me!
-
Okay I am confused with some of what you have said." I filed his paper work in October 2011 via greencard. I had it switched from greencard to citizenship in January 2012". I don't understand? You had a green-card ? Also can you fill in your timeline this will help others better understand where you are at and what service center is serving you. Have you received any RFE's (Request for Further Evidence) from USCIS.
If you are asking about the timeline you have now passed the 5 month mark. But its not like written law that says they have to be done in 5 months. Have you called USCIS to ask about your case. Or checked on the USCIS.gov website (you did register your case so you can check?) . .
Sorry if I don sound too clear. I became a citizen in the beginning of January 2012. I sponsored/filed i130 for my husband via Perminent Resident. I had it petitioned to Citizen in January 2012. I'm currently in Texas and my case was sent to California. As of right now thats all I know....

Okay so ive never used a forum before so bear with me.
I'm an American citizen & I filed I 130 for my husband who lives in Pakistan, I live in Texas. I filed his paper work in October 2011 via greencard. I had it switched from greencard to citizenship in January 2012. I do have a lawyer but as we all know they give all their clients the run- around. My case has been went to California. What's going to happen next. How long will all this take. This is all very disheartening. :(
