For those of you who have newly arrived in the US (within the past year or two).... how long did it take to receive your Green Card in the mail after your entry into the US?

We received requests for two bill payments one for 88US and the other for 230 which have been paid! However shortly after paying the IV bill we got a request for another 230 payment! Is that correct or should we ignore the 2nd request!

Can anyone help. Our case was approved and transferred to the NVC on February 18th. No case number assigned and each time I call am told to wait for thirty days. That ends on 1st April, but others seem to have got their number quicker ! I shouldn't say can anyone help, I should have said has anyone got any thoughts about this. I am the beneficiary

Mine went to the NVC on Feb 18th still no number! They keep tellin us to wait for 30 days!

Agree with posters, ours was approved January 27th and went to ......... The Department of State for processing ... Last Friday ..........11 Days!

We received the notice of transfer on Jan 7th.

We have just been approved, thank you Texas Service Centre. It's taken six months and 12 days!

I don't even know if I am posting in the right place. I just got my email........PD July 16th, Approved. Earlier today, we received an email to say that my alien registration number was changed, now this! I can't go back to sleep. Thank you TSC

We got transferred to Texas. I note they are waay behind and we have a PD of July 16th. Interestingly, we received another text but not email to say there had been an update but the last "touched" date remains the same. We continue to wait in the meantime going to book another holiday to see my husband!

Since the 3rd of January, we have had the following notices. Petition transferred, then, transferred to local office, then transferred, and last night transferred and is being processed. Not sure what being processed means. We are July filers.

I relied on that information and didn't see my husband for a while. Decided to go just before Christmas no problems with immigration at all! Asked if I had a return ticket, when I had last been in the USA, when I had last seen my husband, and a couple of other questions and that was it!

On the 3rd we received a notice to say our file had been transferred to another location, but that we would receive a notice to say where exactly it has gone.

Today we received another email to say that our file had now been sent to our local office. Is this right? I thought it would go to another service centre like California or somewhere else.

We are almost six months. Notified about transfer yesterday by mail so waiting for the official notice. Hopefully, will be approved within the next three months.

So, after almost six months I wake up to an email this morning telling me the case has been transferred. I wait patiently for the official notice. It was great however to spend time with my husband over Christmas.

It depends, ours was originally denied because we fell out of time with rfe. We were told to refine which we did.

For those in the Uk waiting................we have been waiting since July, and based on predictions we could probably still be waiting in February!

Well,have reached day 90. I have stopped looking at the uscis website ......initial review . I could write a poem.
