  1. I wanna know how you cancelled your petition, and how you knew your petition was done/closed. Because now I have to cancel my K-1 petition too. I did interview already, and I didn't get visa right away. They gave me a blue paper which requires more documents to prove my American fiance's finance. But he doesn't have sufficient savings according to the requirement, so we have to cancel it. What should I do to cancel? Is there any downside for me after I canceled?

    Thanks

  2. Hello,

My case is unusual. I am wondering if anybody had similar experience as mine.

I went through K-1 visa interview in Feb this year. Unfortunately I didn't get visa right away as my American fiance doesn't have job and sufficient bank saving.

At that moment I got a blue paper which requires to submit more documents to prove his finance. In the past few months, my fiance was trying to find a job to support me as the visa officer seems really to care about the job income. Finally he got a job offer from Europe, but he has to move to Europe. On one hand, we like to live in Europe. But on the other hand, we don't know what will be the consequence if I give up K-1 visa application. Will I be banned from entering USA in the future if I didn't complete the whole application process??

As the officer gave me a blue paper to require more documents instead of rejection, what should I do if I wanna cancel or close my visa application?

I know it sounds weird here. But I definitely appreciate any reply, any advice from you all.

    Thanks!

  3. Hi, I'm sorry to hear your failure after the interview.

Actually I have the similar problem like yours now. I had interview in the beginning of Feb, I also received 221g, the comment required me to provide more information about the financial evidence. My American fiance doesn't have job either, he's capable to work anytime, but he chose not to work for a while as he has lots of assets to live on for both of us, and the value of his assets is much much more than 125% of poverty level. So I'm confused what exactly the VO wants me to do. He wants me to prove he does have enough money to support me base on his assets? Or My fiance must have a job to reach their rules even though he has enough money and assets?

What are you gonna do? Did they ask you to provide more information or find another qualified sponsor?

  4. My American fiance doesn't have a job yet now, but he has lots of assets, the total value of assets is much much more than 125% of poverty level. So I am wondering if he still needs to get a job to show he is making 125% of the poverty level. Or Officer will accept the fact that we're gonna live on all the assets he has now.

For K1 visa with I-134, I'm wondering if my American fiance must have a job to sponsor me.

What exactly paper will the consulate officer accept to approve my K1 visa? 3 years-tax paper? Or enough money and assets to live on even without a job?

  5. I just got through the interview in the beginning of Feb, I didn't get approved right away during the interview since the officer thought the financial evidence isn't clear and enough to prove. So the officer asked me to provide further information to clear the assets. My American fiance currently doesn't have job, but he has lots of assets to support our finance.

    1. Does anyone meet with the same situation of being asked to provide more information? If we provide further information, is it high possible to get approved or not?

    2. Does anyone get approved when your American fiance or husband doesn't have job,but base on the sufficient assets?

    3. After I provide more information, usually how long will it take to receive the decision from the consulate?

  6. Hello,

I'll be interviewed in the beginning of Feb.

Now I need to fill in DS-156,

Item 36: Has anyone ever filed an immigrant visa petition on your behalf?

Since we filed I-129F before,Should I fill in "yes" with my American petitioner's name?

And Can I fill in DS-156,DS-157,DS-156K,GNI-2 by hand?

There's barcode to be filled on DS-156, Will the visa officer give me the barcode when I'm in the interview?

    Thank you!

  7. Anyone can tell me how to fill in the following items in Form I-134?

Item10, I have submitted a visa petition to U.S.Citizenship and Immigration Services on behalf of the following person.

Question: Should I fill in the beneficiary's name of K-visa here or this only indicates for the previous visa petition?

Item11, 1. Intend, 2. do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the persons named in item3

Question: Which one should we pick? We're getting married after K-visa approved, if pick "intend", How can we know what's the exact amount and the duration of contribution, if My American fiance picks "do not intend", I have to provide other documents to prove my finance? or will my K-visa be rejected?

By the way, if my American fiance doesn't have a job to show the tax returns, but he has enough assets, so can we just show the assets papers?

    Pls help. Thanks

Is there anyone who can help me? I really don't know how to fill in the form. Thanks.

  10. Thank you very much, everybody, I filled in timeline as you suggest. And I got the estimated time of NOA2.

EAC is Vermont service center, right? Mine is EAC according to the NOA1.

So all that I can do is waiting. If USCIS has REF, they should email to my american fiance or mail to him, right?
