Be strong & your papa will understand your situation it is hard to leave here in USA & we don't have a choice but to follow their rules & paperwork, i hope there's a way for you to fly without any problem when you return.

  3. Hello everyone,

I am planing to visit my country On Oct 2012 and stay for a couple of months at the same time my passport will expired Feb 2013, and i have 5 months remaining before it expired which am planning to renew it to my country for cheaper & faster way because we are far to DC & it is expensive in there & it takes 6weeks before i will received my Philippine Passport.

i have valid i.d GC to return here at US.

is there anyone has the same issue like mine & experience traveling back home (phil.)

    and renewed passport in there?

  4. Just returned from interview this morning and interviewer here in Seattle approved BOTH the I-130 AND the I-485. Green card will be mailed, but also stamped wife's passport with "temporary" green card (big red stamp he filled out).

Went very fast; just wanted us to raise our right hands and then explored how we met and where we live etc. Looked at our combined lease and a few bank statements, our insurance statement and that was about it, followed by routine questions for the 485 e.g. have you ever been arrested, engaged in prostitution, part of a militia etc, etc.

    We are SOOOO FREAKING HAPPY!!!

Don't know how to insert timeline but Received date in Chicago lockbox was May 30 so less than 90 days from them getting application to APPROVAL!!! No RFEs, but we resubmitted paperwork a few times after getting contradictory scheduling/processing messages from them.

    CONGATULATIONS!!!!

Wait for GC in mail should not take longer... mine it took 7days after my interview.

  5. Hi all. I know that they do a combo card now for the Employment Authorization and Advance Parole, but if I have no intention of working after I move to the US, does it take less time to process just the AP? I heard that biometrics are required for Employment Authorization but not necessarily Advance Parole. I am trying to get home in time for my nephew's Confirmation and if this would make it quicker, then I would not apply for both.

If i am you, i would apply for EAD & AP even you don't plan to work, i have a lot of friends that they just wait their GC to be approved so they can work and travel but the matter of fact is you never know what is gonna happen in the future? so some of my friends they been waiting for a long time months to get their GC and hesitate to apply for EAD & AP and now something's happen and they under pressure...

EAD & AP it takes 3Months before you have it, just like mine... i have "COMBO" Card, better to have both than saying sorry. just being honest to myself that's all but it is up to you... Good luck

  6. Congratulations to you! What a relief having your GC in your hands. May I be so fortunate as to have that kind of speed. :)

Yes it is so relief after all u been through in a lot of stress, depression such and such! specially to me & to those who been had a lot of RFE  such a pain in the butt :crying: but it worth it

Congratulations to you! What a relief having your GC in your hands. May I be so fortunate as to have that kind of speed. :)

  7. Hi all,

What of the aos interview denied? What will happen? Need some information. Thanks for all your help..

    Hello,

the denial it is depend on what case? i had denied honestly and very stressful, they denied me for the taxes and some error after a year that is been pending my case because when i got in here my husband tax is didn't meet the poverty line of 125% of 3 house-hold...

so what we did is we applied for Motion or re-open our case... it is just recently my interview is done and i received welcome notice saying my Green Card is good for 10 years

it is stressful when they denied you but it is not too late to lost hope, it is a test for your patient & faith.

  8. Hello everyone!

I would like to share my experience in my interview yesterday for my AOS... Everything went okay in my interview and the questions are easy and the consular only ask me to show is my Birth Certificate,Birth Certificate of my son & marriage License, and my combo card, passport & I-94.

after all the questions such as have u commit on crime,blah,blah,blah... My husband ask the Consular for how long is my Green Card will be good and he said, "Good for 10years" and he said if you want to be citizen u can apply before it goes to 3years, and he said all u have to do is apply for Immidiate Relatives Petition.. i forgot what form he said but i am so happy like i feel like i am in heaven...

I really been through a lot in such a hard times on this my processing since i got in here, it took over a year my application & we got denied for error (didn't submit the tax 2011 in a right time after a year waiting), family are sick & i can't able to go home, can't drive, can't work, can't do anything as much as i want to for over 2 years & finally for the help of prayer & faith we finally made it...

For all people out there who is waiting & stress out in their applications, please don't give up because nothing are easy on this life,

it is hard to be real patient but God will not give you a problems without solutions...

  9. Hello everyone,

I would like to ask if it's real that the EAD Combo card that i received a month from now that is not activate yet?

i mean, last Friday i am supposed to get SSN and suddenly the old lady told me that my card is not activate in the system of uscis?

and i told her that i got my Card almost a month & i been reading that i can able to apply for SSN while my case is pending (I485)right?

and she told me to come back 1 to 2 weeks :crying:

Anybody that the same experience as mine?

    Very appreciate your comment...

  10. Hi, I need some help with this issue. Me and my wife got married 1 year ago and submitted our I-130 package she went to her interview and passed now we are waiting for the visa to be issued. I was wondering when she enters the USA via Los Angeles I know they will give her SSN forms and green card forms to fill out. Is this where we would request her last name be changed to mine or is it too late since the marriage certificate, her passport, etc have her last name? also we are planning on taking a offical honeymoon after she arrives will changing her last name cause a problem since the visa in her passport will be issued under her maiden last name. Basically I just want to know what is the proper way and proper time to change the last name. Any help and or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

She can apply ahead SSN before she enter here at the USA & after both of you got married, both of you can apply a Green Card for her...

about last name? i am married for over 2years and i haven't change my last name to a married name, i don't know but she can do that later when she have married certificate and apply a new documents like Driver's license, ssn etc.

  11. Why would you have filed an I-130 along with the AOS from K-1 (2 years ago)? Why were you denied?

as far as i remember, all my application is made by my husband, he does all those requirements for my Adjustment

and i saw that he fill up the form I-130 and he said he paid that during my k1 process before i got in here.

The reason we got denied after a year because my husband CPA, he didn't finish my husband tax on 2011 and we didn't send it right away

in a proper time at uscis that's why we got denied...

  12. Hello everyone,

i have a question about my status? i been married for 2years and 5months this month. So in my case, i came here through K1 visa and Got married on Jan 17 2010, since my husband got laid off & i got pregnant so we wait after a year before we filed my AOS in April 3,2011. but they send us a lot of RFE so my case is been pending over a year until they denied us on March 19,2012 :crying: So we filed motion to reopen our case on April 6,2012 and after 3months i got approval of my EAD & AP, we still waiting for my interview hopefully next month?

what is my confusing is since were married over 2years should i get 2years green card or 10years? anyone same experience we had in here?

any comments & advice it is really appreciated. thanks!
