    hmmm we met online on foursquare, not a dating website (not that i have anything against people who meet on dating websites) ... its just that i wasn't looking neither was he,.. we got to emailing each other.. as it turns out he was a great guy, big softy just like me, funny, surfer, and oh so cute :) .. we decided to skype after emailing each other for a month.. and voila we got hooked, *gasp* not like married but hooked on each other lol .. he came to see me after a few months , spent two wonderful weeks together.. and after that we just knew that we had to be together, so we filed for k1 on november and here we are now...

    does anyone know how to extend the petition .. the consular officer extends it but how ?? what should i do? .. i dont have all the documents and its gonna take me more than 4 months to get them , so worried, its killing me :'(

      Generally you have 4 months from the issue date of the NOA2. Check the "Valid from period" on your NOA2.

      You can try and request information / clarification from VFS at infousmumbai@vfshelpline.com.

      FYI, The recently outsourced email/phone support to VFS and you should fully expect their support to be fairly useless, but eventually you'll get a response. Expect 2 business days to get a standard "we have to ask the consulate" response and then get t...

      then 3-5 days business days later get the information you requested. The staff at the VFS office locations (see consulate site for list) are fairly knowledgable and can answer most questions straight away.

      actually i dont have my passport yet, its taking longer than its supposed to so im totally stressing.. but i havent recieved my packet 3 yet.. yeah i called the helpline, and im gonnna email them tommorow.. thanks for ur response.. good luck :)
