  1. You can call the place where you guys have to pick the packages and ask if both of you have to show up. So I guess the license should be enough. But maybe someone who has done the process in UK can help you better. My wife only took one form of ID when she had to pick her package. But every place is different.

  2. How long was the father in the US illegally?

I will have to check on that. Thanks.

    hi

there is no waiver, depending on how long he was here, he might have had a 10 year ban

but if he left over 10 years ago, then the ban is over and there is no problem

he will have to prove that he has been living in his country for 10 or more years

Alright. I hope everything goes well. Thanks for the information

  3. Hello friends. I'm seeking help because I would like to petition for my father to come to US. My father was previously in the US. He came illegally and he left around 20 years ago. My question is can he get denied because of this? Will we a pardon for him or something similar? My dad was not deported. He left on his own. He never had any problems with police or immigration while he came or lived here. Please help. Thanks.

  4. Congratulations!!!

    Thank you

    That's great news!

    Yes thanks

    Congrats!

May I ask you when you filed and when you did your biometrics and also when you were transferred? If you are considered to be part of the January filers, I think they would like to know. They are suffering from a huge drought of approvals on that thread. I think your news would make them happy.

Congrats again, it is time for celebration!

Thanks for the comment. Everything is pretty much on my timeline. I did filed on January and our case got transferred late August.
  5. I was arrested and charged with petit larceny reduced to disorderly conduct. I pleaded guilty and was given a 1 year conditional discharge in 2009. I answered yes to question 23. What should I answer on the following questions 24, 25. I was at the precinct one night. Should this be considered jail or prison to answer question 28? PLEASE HELP ME.

  6. I don't what to think. To my eyes this was something really little not a big offense or crime, but you never know with immigration.

There is always a risk of getting denied. That is why they ask all those questions about having commited crimes. It will be the discretion of the office that receives your relative's application to decided if she can become a U.S Citizen based on her criminal history. I am sure when your relative pleaded guilty that the judge informed her/him that it could affect her/his immigration status or when applying to become a US citizen.

I don't know how things go down at courts. The copy from the court just says that info reduced to disorderly conduct.

  7. Does she have the documentation showing she was approved? This should be all she needs. We walked out of our interview with an Interview Results form and then received (a week later) the USCIS letter welcoming my husband to permanent residency, do you have those? Bring in her documentation and go in now. It's not going to hurt. They will at least explain what's going on to you.

Yes we have those and also the greencard and passport. So we will go soon and find out.
