My brother came here in 1979 and just applied for and got his citizenship two years ago. He renewed his green card whenever it was about to expire. So some people don't apply for citizenship early for fear of being denied. They want to make sure everything in their record is good before applying.

I believe the poor fiancee was intimidated by the officer.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. I am the woman, the petitioner and I'm 13 years older than my fiance. We have been in love since 2006 and we have a little girl together. He was denied student visa back in 2007, at the time we were not talking about marriage. I just recently filed the fiance petition for him and we have spent a reasonable amount of time together prior to that. I have visited him once from 2007 to 2009 and twice since between 2010 and now. we have lots of pictures and other documents to prove our relationship. Do you all think the age difference and him being denied the student visa would affect our petition even though we have a baby together? Please help us so we can plan better for any kind of questions that may arise during the interview. What more they may need from us and if you've had this type of experience kindly share and it will be appreciated. Thanks.
K1 visa is approved.

Hello everyone, my fiance had his interview a few days ago and it was approved. Yeyyyyyy!!! He will be picking up his visa next week. The info we got from this forum helped a great deal from how to fill out forms to how to prepare for the interview. May God's name be praised and thank you all.
