You do understand the the info pass will be at the field office. They don't do biometrics there. If you want to try for biometrics, then go to the Application Support Center tomorrow. If they take you, then you're set and no waiting on an infopass appointment, or a service request, or an appointment letter.
Field Office
1720 Randolph Road Southeast
Albuquerque, NM 87106-4245
ACS
1605 Isleta Boulevard, SW
Suite C
Albuquerque, NM 87105-4793
An ACS office is often in a shopping center with only a few workers and the fingerprint machines. They don't have offices or case files or any Information about your case or RFE, etc. They just take photos/fingerprints and send them off electronically with your case number attached. Not a big deal thing at all.
Okay first of all I want to thank you Nick Nick so much again for the information. It actually worked !!!
I went to the ACS in Albuquerque New Mexico the workers there were so very nice !! I told them my story and I showed them the emails with the receipts numbers and then they re-generated the biometrics appointment letter it was from 25th January it has my name and my address so they accepted to do the biometrics no questioned asked or anything after that. It took only 20 minutes and nobody was there because I went very late.
So it won't be an issue I did the biometrics without appointment ? Do I still need to make the infopass appointment and tell them about it ?
Thanks Again

Hello, I sent 4 photos with my AOS package and I received only RFE for I864 and they didn't mention any photos !!

Hi everyone Ive been on this site for a while, and my husband was approved on the K-1 visa in December we got married last month and we are ready to send the paperwork. Its been a little confusing so I have a couple of questions, hopefully someone can help.
1. With the AOS paperwork do we need to send any evidence yet, like pictures or joint bank accounts, leases or anything like that?
2. How many 2x2 pictures does my husband have to take, is it two for each form or just two for the whole packet?
3. On the I-864 it says that I have filed taxes for the last 3 years but I will be sending in a photocopy of the most recent year. Should I send in copies of the 3 years to be on the safe side or just send a copy of the most recent year. And do I photocopy the whole packet of the tax return or just a certain page.
4.My husband is not working yet so do I need to send in any of my pay stubs with the packet or employment verification letter.
Thanks in advance for answering my questions it would be greatly appreciated !!
Congratulations for the marriage
1. You don't need to send any evidence.
2. I actually sent 4 photos to be safe they are jus photos if they don't need that many they can just throw them lol
3&4. If you make enough (125% above the poverty line) you don't need a joint sponsor. Fill the form I-864 attach a copy of the most recent tax year only. You can attach the whole 3 tax recent years copies or Employment verification letter states your salary and pay stubs "Those are optional" only if you want to establish ability to maintain sufficient income. For myself I attached the most resent tax year with employment verification letter and the W2 forms.
Good luck

Thank you so much Nick Nick ! I thought the Field office would also do the biometrics appointment. I will definitely go tomorrow and try ! I hope it works. Thank you again for the great information !

Thanks a lot! From what I've understood, AOS fee was around 1100$ + around 360 for Travel Parole and about 300$ for work permit
No if you file all those three applications at the same time they will not charge you for the EAD and TP only for the I485 which is 1070$.
If you decide to file EAD I765 and I131 465$ for each
SO you file all of them at the same time !
-
When you file AOS I 485 you would want to file for EAD and TP. Within 90 days of filing you should receive the EAD card and TP. The cost for all the applications $985. (Add $85 biometric fee for a total of $1070)

Hi guys,
I plan to arrive to the US in May on my K-1 visa and to file AOS forms in the middle of or late June. How much time will it take us until I can work, travel, driven? In other words, how much time does it take to get AOS papers approved? Thanks
The time depends on so many factors. Generally speaking for your EAD "employment authorization document" and travel parole " travel permit" within 90days of filing AOS. Conditional Green Card several months ! some people got it as early as 3 months and for some people it's been 7 months and its still bending !
Good luck

Hi, I have a question. My wife had a medical exam in Ukraine before coming to America almost 3 months ago. I am getting ready to file for her green card but I am confused on if I have to file the i-693? The instructions I found said it would need to partially filled out but she does not have to have a full exam? I found a local civil surgeon and asked over the phone what we would need and they said that they did not know either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
She definitely doesn't need to do the medical examination.
Does she have DS 3025 ? the vaccines from your doctor in Ukraine ?
If yes and the form DS 3025 says "Complete" just send that form DS 3025 instead of I 693 in your AOS
If yes and the form DS 3025 says "In complete" then you take that to the CS. There they will administer the vaccines needed and from the form I 693 you will need page 1 and page 5 (the vaccination assessment) filled out by the CS.

egypt accepts co-sponsors but they will want the dad to make more then the minimum requirement. They will refuse him if his income is exactly what is required for 125%.
But does she need to file the 134 even though dad claimed her on his taxes?
Yes the petitioner has to fill the form even if she doesn't make enough, the petitioner is always the primary sponsor.

Okay, here's some things I have read other people do with success. Try any that appeal to you.
Calling USCIS-insist over and over and over that you want to speak to a Tier 2 representative. Some say if you ask 2-3 times they will.
Infopass-- pick any reason that will give you an appointment, whether it fits you or not.
Infopass-- just show up and see if they will take you without an appointment.
Biometrics-- show up at your ASC as a walk-in. Avoid morning as that seems to be busy with appointments. Take your emailed case numbers and they can generate whatever needs to be done to get your biometrics processed that day.
Biometrics-- since two months has passed, call USCIS and put in a service request for biometrics. The immigrant has to call.
My thoughts: Do you really need the NOA receipts? They aren't used for anything. You have your case numbers for the online checking. Not a battle I would fight by calling USCIS or trying to get an infopass. Do you need biometrics? YES. I would try the walk-in if it's not a really long distance for you. Otherwise I would focus on the call for a service request to receive a biometric appointment and not the NOA receipts.
Here's a thread where people post their experience with walk-in biometrics. They had appointment letters, but went days or weeks before their appointment. If your city is on the list, it might give you an idea if you'll find helpful people who will listen to your problem and take you without the barcoded appointment letter. They would enter your case numbers manually. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/367977-thinking-of-early-walk-in-for-biometrics/page__pid__5936476__st__45#entry5936476
Thank you so much Nick-Nick and Dave for your responses
So I called the USCIS customer service and I spoke with someone. I explained everything to her, she said that when I called them the first time on 24th January they responded to that with the letter of RFE on 12th February and they will not respond to my service request till 30 days has passed from the day they issued the RFE letter ( they considered that the RFE letter was the response to my inquiry and they did that in less than 30 days ) So I will have to call them again on the 12th of March to do another inquiry. The lady on the phone assured me that they will reschedule biometrics appointment and there will be No denial because of that. As for the InfoPass I will schedule one and see what is going to happen and I will talk to them about the biometrics if they accept to let me have it without appointment. I'm in Albuquerque New mexico and I couldn't find it on the list you gave me but I will go there and try anyway it was a good idea thanks again Nick-Nick and yes I really don't care about the receipts I only need the biometrics appointment letters
Thanks for your time !

Yes, my name is in the mailbox. I received letters before and most importantly I received their RFE letter almost 3 months after the filing date with the same address and I responded to it a week ago !
-
Thanks for your response. I did not miss my biometrics appointment because I did not get it. They (USCIS) already know as it says undeliverable for their mail and I still don't understand why that happened. And as you just advised that I should schedule an infoPass the only service that I can find to apply for my situation was that '''Case Services follow-up appointment - If it has been over 45 days since you contacted NCSC and have not received a response to your inquiry. You must bring the Service Request ID Number related to your inquiry to the appointment."""
It's been only 40 days since my inquiry.
Thanks again!

Hello, I had a problem and I'm asking what to do next any advise would be so much appreciated !
I filed my AOS package 27 Dec 2012 and I didn't receive a receipt and a biometrics appointment letter in the mail at all. I only got the Emails with the receipts numbers in them 2 days after the filing date. On 24th January 2012 I checked my status as always in the USCIS case status and this what appeared :
""On January 24, 2013, the post office returned the notice we last sent you on this case I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION as undeliverable. This may have serious effects on processing this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update your mailing address for this notice to be re-sent.""
And it's the same for the other two applications I-485 and I-131.
I DID NOT CHANGE MY ADDRESS ! SO I called the USCIS customer service and talked to them in the same day 24th January 2012 to ask for the receipt to be re-sent and told them that I didn't change my address and it's the same so they gave my 3 confirmation numbers for the 3 applications and they told me that they will be re-sent. I received nothing after that so I called again on 12th February for the same issue and the guy on the phone literally didn't know anything at all ( I didn't get an answer from him). On the 17 February I received a RFE letter in the mail (the same mail address) concerning I-864 to which I responded a week after. The case status changed in the I 485 to "Request for Evidence Response Review" right away but for the I-765 and I-131 are still the same case status above.
So I just don't know what's going to happen to the receipts and most importantly the biometrics appointment and what should I do now.
Thank you so much for your time.

Hello,
For AOS you need the CS to sign your papers (I-693) for you this is a must. First of all you have to know that must of the CS will insist to have an entire medical examination, they will not accept to just add your vaccines and sign it. If you are lucky and could find CS would accept doing just the vaccines assessment here in the US you would need Tdap, MMR and varicella (Those are what they made me have) So you have the DS-3025 and if it states that you took those three vaccines in the proper timeframe I don't think you will need to have those vaccines again. As I told you the problem is most of the CSs will not accept just to do the vaccines assessment. I went to two of them and they told me they don't accept to do parts of the I-693 even when I showed them that the instructions are very clear I was not required to do the medical exam because I had one abroad in less than a year so I had to pay 240$ extra for the medical examination.
I wish you all the best of luck.

Thank you so much for your help.

Thank you so much for your response. It'm alittle bit confused with it. So should I leave it it blank ? Because I'm married to the principal immigrant.
-
Hello,
I hope you are doing fine.
I'm trying to fill out the form I-864 (Affidavit of support) to my husband who is the principal immigrant and I'm the petitioner. It's for adjustment of status file. In the household size (part 5-21) it says :
Persons you are sponsoring in this affidavit
a.Enter the number you entered on line 10 ----> So I entered 1
Persons Not sponsored in this affidavit
b.YOURSELF ----> 1
c. If you are currently married enter "1" for your spouse. -----> SO here is my question: My husband is the principal immigrant in part 2 and I'm the petitioner, What should I put in this one ?
Please help me I really appreciate it and thanks in advance

Hi
I'm a new here in this great website
Me and my fiancee want to fill I-129F. I have a question, it says in the I-129F (Q 16) that if your fiance native alphabet uses other than the roman letters, (WRITE) his or her name and address in the native alphabet. My Question is what do they mean by write ? Is it like handwrite or type using computer?
And this is also considering form G-325 there is the same question (the final question)
Thank you very much for your help
No receipts or Biometrics appointment in the mail

You are a godsent Nick Nick !!!
I wouldn't have tried this without your advice.
It's totally true I gave them the receipts numbers and they re-generated the letter for me then they scanned the bar code it right away gave them my information I was standing there and I saw the computer. The guard was so nice he took my receipts numbers and my passport to an other guy who was nice too and he re-generated the appointment letter. I was so lucky it was empty no one was there except the workers.
Thank you so much again and again !!!
