If you join the March NVC thread (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/354975-nvc-filers-march-2012/ ) the first two posts contain important information, including a FAQ which includes your question. Lately, it's been taking just around 2 weeks to get a case number from NOA2.

Don't call the AVR, call the operator. The AVR is always a few days behind.

please tell me if i am married and over 21 years and the petition was filed by my day a US citzen, how long does NVC take to issue the case number ?

For more information, my dad is a us citizen,and i am married and over 21 , he filed a I130 petion and the cas has approuved by uscis since october 2008, now i never heard from NVC. is it normal?

i receive an approuval from uscis since october 2008 and they say that they send the case to NVC since now i never receive anything from NVC (case number )please tell me what to do in this case.
