Que lastima lo de tu suegra. Podrias llamar a la embajada de Lima y mandarles los documentos necesarios como carta del doctor de tu suegra diciendo su condicion de salud. Y explicando tu deseo de ir con tu esposa para apoyarla y la razon porque. No te garantizo que sera aprovada tu peticion de mover tu cita a una fecha mas cercana pero no pierdes nada con interntar. Mucha suerte y mantennos informados.

Me dijieron que me ivan a enviar una nueva carta de entrevista pero que si no llegaba que igual fuera a la embajada ellos iban a tener record... Called NVC today operator told me that an Interview date has been scheduled AUGUST 10, 2012

OMG CONGRATS!!! My Interview was Scheduled for August 20th ... I am Happy even thou it's a Month Away!!!!!!!!!!

The wait for an interview at London is killing me. Case completed on Thursday 5th and I think I'll be lucky to get in for an August interview.

Anyone else waiting out there patiently...?? :unsure:

did you contact the embassy?

I e-mail them because my fiance did not received his packet from them. The embassy e-mail me back next day with his interview day and an option for him to come by and pick a copy of the packet. We are applying for a fiance visa but I think it does not hurt to e-mail them or call them. Hope it helps

NVC will email you ... the interview date..... My case has been completed since the 26th and I am still waiting for an interview date... Hopefully, we get ASAP ...

hello everyone, my case was finally completed at NVC on june, 29 i called to askk when will my interview date might be they said they have no idea, very frustrating, just called today and still nothing, does anyone know how long it usually takes for a interviem in DR embassy, or when does NVC assigned the interviews in what dates of the month.. getting anxious here.. thank you everyone for all the advice i have gotten on my journey couldnt have done it with out all of you.. thank God for this site..

If you submitted your IV package with ALL correct civil documents then this is a false checklist. Generally they are generic (ie. Not asking your for anything specifically). It is generally a good sign to get a false checklist. It means (more than likely) that your AOS package has been accepted.

Call NVC again and ask if everything is in order with your AOS packet.

Assuming all is ok with your IV packet you should get case closed one week after NvC reciebved it.

You wait. Usually about ten days. This is not really a "false" checklist but the checklists get sent out automatically. The left hand sending the checklist doesn't know the right hand already has the documents. There's a few days of lag time in the system. If you follow the shortcuts, this SHOULD always happen.

I know what you are feeling... I though NVC was supposed to be faster, but it takes forever and ever!!!!!!!!!!

You need to call them to get you case number... or email them ASAP (NVCINQUIRY@state.gov./ (603) 334-0700 ).. You problably have your case number... you need to make you case move along

Since yer wife is a USCitzen - that makes her the petitioner. The one that's left in a married couple (IE - YOU) - is the applicant - typically it's the foreign spouse, the non-USCitizen, that becomes the applicant for a USA Immigrant Visa. That'd be you. You need to remember that, as forms are filled out - as 'voice' is important - ie

it's her VOICE on the I-864 and

it's YOUR VOICE on the DS-230.

I Got email from NVC... And got AOS and Iv Invoiced... I think I got lucky... ... and is says payment is in Progress... After it shows paid can I send the AOS and IV packet?

Once you get to NVC and get a case number how long to you get to send in the AOS for a (IR1/CR1 spousal Visa). I asked because I am currently unemployed and pray things happen before I get to NVC but just was wondering how long will they keep my case open?

Also if I go get to that point would I just let the AOS fee bill sit or pay it get packet and hold on to it.

Just trying to wrap my head around this just in case.

If you are currently unemployed you can get a Joint Sponsor, That will help you with the part of the Affidavit of Support.. That's What my wife is doing for me, and my cousin is the Sponsor...
