  1. Most of the time they don't even know what is going on the with case. Just read the last note updated. Keep reminding them that you submitted medical report after finish of this kind of process. You explain this to whomever you contact.

    Thanks for your reply, but i'm a little confused, who should i keep reminding, the embassy?? But do you think its ok to contact the senator again for assistance?

  2. Hey I have a question I know maybe this is probably not the right forum to ask but i see that many of you have similar situations as I do, hoping you guys can help me out with my confusion.

    My husband had his interview in Kabul, Afg on June 14, 2011 and has been put under AP since then... I had contacted the senator in September 2012 to help us out...and we did get a response from the US embassy of Kabul and asked us to submit a new medical...which we did in October 2012...We are still waiting, every time i email the embassy i get the same response that the case is under AP.

    My question is to all of you, is it alright for me to contact the senator again for their help? Would it create any problems in my husbands case? Would do you all suggest? Please help us out....we are so stressed out, have no idea what to do...We've been put under AP since 20 months now =(

    Thank You guys

  5. hi all, im new here and need some help and advice...i got married in jan 2010 and applied for my husbands visa in march of 2010..the petition got approved and my husband got his interview date in June 2011 (after 15 months since date filed), but just 2 weeks before his interview his co sponsor refused to sponsor him n requested his documents back...i was so worried and stressed coz it was just 2 weeks before his interivew and didn t kno from where to get another sponsor however in teh process of returning his documents we got into a family dispute and one of their family members had sent an email to the embassy in regards to my husband so i dont know what she exactly wrote besides that they no longer wish to sponsor....however i did manage to get another co sponsor and send in time for his interview...at the time of the interview he submitted new documents of the new sponsor and the consulate officer returned the other ones and had that email infront of him...and then another issue arised with our marraige certificate needed notarization...we had gotten married in pakistan but my husband lives in afghanistan...so the consular wanted it notarized in the country we got married..so there was a whole issue on tat which took us 4 months from the time of his interview and so we ended up makin a new marriage certificate in afghanistan. we submitted the documents in october 2011 and now he is in Administrative processing....its been 6 months already and havent heard anything yet.... i sent emails and call dept of state and i hear the same thing that we are in AP...

    so im really worried and i really miss my husband so much i dont kno wat to think...i get mixed feelings tat why its takin long coz of the relative email or the marriage cert or if its just in reg background check...does anybody have any idea or know if theres anything i can do bout it which i kno is nothing but mayb some of u can share ur experiences with me. i was thinking of contacting the state congressman but dont kno how to go bout that either....please helppp me....and pray for me as well tat my husband gets his visa soon....

    thanx =(
