OMG ! I AM CRYING OF HAPPINESS. CASE WAS COMPLETED OCTOBER 1ST AND JUST ABOUT 10 MINUTES AGO I RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM NVC WITH AN INTERVIEW DATE AND TIME FOR MY HUDBAND I FEEL SO BLESSED, THANK GOD

Great News! Ours was accepted today at NVC.....cross your fingers that we will get an interview assigned soon!

My local USCIS office is in Boise, Idaho. I live like 10 minutes away from it. So I went in and asked about my case, and at that same moment they gave me an interview date, then I got the letter a couple days later.

I know what you mean, I miss my hubby too . We just have to be patient though

Did you happen to have any of your paperwork with you when you went into the office?? I am wondering if I should do this. However, I think that your office being in Idaho might be a lot less busier than mine is in Dallas, TX.

I am on a similar situation right now. My case was transferred to my local USCIS office on may 21 and they recieved it on May 23rd. not even a week later I got a notice in the mail saying that I have to go to an interview on June 14. . .this is just to give you an idea but im not exctly sure how long it takes, from what I've seen on other people's similar cases, it can take up to months before you to hear from your local USCIS office.

I hope that this does not take months . I miss my honey and going to visit is a major drain on my wallet. Plus not to mention the emotional toll this is taking on both of us.....geeze....we are all in this situation. For all of our sakes, I sure hope that they can speed it up.

My I-130 was transferred to the local office...I am assuming it is the Dallas office or the Texas Service Center?? I am pretty sure I will have an interview because I married my husband right after he took Voluntary Departure and before he left for Mexico.

Has anyone been in this situation? How long did it take you to get a response, or an interview? Like all of us, I am tired of waiting.

What you are going through really sucks. But you will survive.

I caught my EX-husband doing the same thing. I forgave him and thought that things would get better. We have a child together, I did not want her to be a child of divorce. No more than a year later, I caught him again texting and emailing the same freaking woman. He promised that he would not contact her again. BUT, a few months later, he told me another woman he worked with was hitting on him and hinting about an affair. I finally came to my senses and told him I wanted a divorce. I knew back when it first happened, that I wanted it to be over. We were never really in-sync with one another. I know my daughter suffers because of it, but Mommy is much happier.

And yes, you will fall in love again. Realize now, that you can not change a person and accept them for whom they are. This will make your life much easier. Don't settle, and find someone who loves you to the ends of the earth.

What type of voluntary departure? Did you incur a 3 year/10 year ban?

Instead of being deported, a judge granted him VD during his proceedings. I think it would be 10 year ban for being in the country for 1+years illegally.

Has anyone applied after being granted VD? If so, what is your story? How long did it take to get a NOA2?

Has anyone not had their I-130 touched? Then gotten their NOA2?

I am asking because we sent ours in, and only have gotten the NOA1. Others I know who are at the same time line have gotten notification that their application has been "touched". Our has not been "touched". Has anyone gotten their NOA2 and was not "touched" during the whole waiting period? If so, how long did it take to get a NOA2?
