  1. I'm interested!

We sent our I-130 application packet DCF to Frankfurt April 3rd.......and it took DHL 10 days to deliver it :(

So much for "next day" German mail. Argh. Waiting for the NOA1 at this point and slowly working on collecting all the other documents we'll need for the next stage.

    Progress on your end??

Frankfurt screwed me over I filed in the embassy on April 11th and still haven't received NOA1...I did everything correctly according to the person I gavethe package too they just straight up screwed me over...I swear if they lost my package Im going to flip ####.

  2. how long have you been married? We've been married for 5 years and have a 4 yr old son together who has dual nationality (US and German). Perhaps our marriage was well established in their eyes, so there was no need to scrutinize everything to prove a bona fide marriage.

    that's my guess, anyway.

Married since march of this year, but that shouldn't matter to even get the initial receipt number my issue is i havent even received notcie that my application has been received when i handed to the ###### consulate right there and paid on the spot.

  3. hmm, this has me worried. I just submitted all I-130 paperwork in person at the Frankfurt location. They looked it over, made me pay the fee and handed me the DS-230 form (which I already completed). I handed that in and was given a case number (FRN.....) and we are in the process of gathering police records and birth certificates from abroad so we can mail in the required documents along with a request for an interview.

did you submit the paperwork in person? if so, did you get a case number?

... in any case, I hope you'll get a speedy resolution after your long wait!

Your kidding they gave you a case number on the spot?! ####### They never gave me one this is such bullshit.

  4. It's understandable, I'd be calling lawyers and congressmen left and right and generally learning how to breathe fire. Good luck, please keep us updated

    Congressman Check

Emails sent to Texas service center and Frankfurt USCIS office check

Need to contact military lawyers tomorrow if they can assist

Thanks for the support I will get this expedited one way or another I will get my Chain of command involved and calling people as well.

  5. This might be a long shot, but maybe since they took your money you at least don't have to pay again?

haha if i have to pay again Im calling my congressman which I might just do tomorrow as well get the entire thing expedited. I still have my original receipt so unless they are going to somehow refund that then make me pay...ugh I understand all the red tape but at the same time its such a bullshi t process to be with the one you love. One person on the planet for you our soulmate but here do this ridiculous amount of paperwork to even see them more than 2 times a year. Sorry for venting on here just so frustrated and angry.

  6. Damn, I'm so sorry, but hey, it's great you called and now at least won't keep waiting for nothing.

true, but now I may have to start the 90+ day wait all over its such bull shi t that they are so careless with these papers over there. It is a complete and utter disgrace to the whole organization. And I can't even call until tomorrow since Frankfurt is open 3 days a week for 3 effin hours lazy pricks.

  7. Called USCIS in the US and they can't find my petition anywhere in the system....the guy pretty much told me Franfurt ###### up and I should contact them soon as they open. The stupid office is open 3 hrs a damn day, these ####### ###### my petition so angry... :( (Apologies for the cursing) Im sure someone understands my frustration. They said soon as I paid I should have received a Receipt number to check statuses with....

  8. If you're really worried about it, call or email. I've heard of a few DCFers not getting it, but don't recall if anyone was in Germany. 65 days is certainly a long time to wait with no news

I really hope that its finished and they haven't notified and that they haven't just lost it....who do I even contact? The imiggration service hotline they charge 15 2 euro a min is this correct.

  9. Well this should be a pretty simple question, I filed DCF Frankfurt April 11th, 2012 and was wondering if I will still receive NOA1 saying they accept it even though when you hand it in they tell you its accepted. I'm just confused on this as it's almost been 90 days and I haven't receive an NOA1 yet.

    Thnaks for the help.

  10. Hey I'm in the same boat was told at Frankfurt that the cost was reimbursable so sent the email with receipt to financing and they denied it. This is not because the visa process has nothing to do with the military but if you acquire dependents after arriving on station they WILL NOT reimburse anything. Your spouse must be on your PCS orders prior to traveling. MPF even refused to amend my orders, now I couldn't actually find any reg stating that they will not reimburse due to her not being on the orders but I will not argue as finance at Ramstein sucks as they do not have a walk in office. The regulation reference is here you can also look on the JFTR further for benefits you can receive while separated. For example while you wait you are authorized too receive FSH (family seperation housing allowance) only if she has a current rental or mortgage contract with the price listed and her as the rentor. I have the exact references at work I can send them to you when i return tomorrow message me if you like. pm me privately and I'll give you mt my military address. Adding that it is reimbursable per JFTR there is just strict regs for it. you will get your money back if you were married prior to traveling to germany and she was on your orders.

  11. Let's start with the basics I am an USC in Germany serving for the USAF I recently married a Filipina Citizen. I just want to make sure I have everything before I make my appointment to drop off the paperwork (rather hand it to them than wait on mail). From my understanding I will need the following.

    I-130

    G325A Hers and mine

    Filing fee of $420

2 Passport style photos white background of each of us.

    Marriage certificate copy

USC documents proving citizenship (my birth certificate and copy of my passport and copy of military ID)

With regards to the G325A I am confused as to the address for living I have written N/A since we do not plan to live in the states and I will be stationed in Germany another 2 years possibly 3. Will they reject it do to me not having a stateside address.

Her name also has not been legally changed I don't forsee that being a problem until after the petition is approved and she arrives as she will want to get her name changed then.

Is there a way around the passport photo as we did not get one done while I was in the Philippines and as some of you may know the mail system is not the fastest or most reliable.

One more question and I apologize for the wall of text so much happening in my head right now. But is a cover page needed if I am going to go to the office and personally hand the papers in?

Thank you any one for replies and for your help just want to get this done and have the wife with me!
