Hi,
welcome to the journey.
The petition will probably take three to five months (maybe less, maybe more).
If you don't have your "Impfpass" anymore, maybe you can get a replacement at the doctor's office that did the vaccinations. Another option would be to have your titer counted (Titerbestimmung) for Td/ Tdap and Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (which is most likely not covered by your insurance). They will ask you at the medical exam if you have ever had a Varicella immunization or the illness itself, thus you will not need proof.
X-rays will have to be made at the panel physician, there's no way around it.
The medical exam cost 140 €. I went to the doctor in Frankfurt.
Good luck!

Check out the following links. They are very helpful!
How to bring your foreign spouse to the US

The information is very overwhelming at first but once you read through it a couple of times, you will understand the process a lot better.

Wow, that's crazy!
We are still waiting for our case to be completed at NVC but were hoping for an interview date in September.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for everyone that it's just false information. Good luck.

Hi Heike,
there are many people in the same (or similiar) situation you are in. The best solution would have been to do CR-1 but with DCF right after you got married. Since your husband is going back to the States soon, I don't know if that is still an option.
The normal route would be to apply for CR-1 by sending the I-130 petition to USCIS in the US and everything that follows the approval (I don't know how much you already read, let me know if you need more details). We started the whole process in February and I hope to get an interview date in the next 2 months. Just to give you an idea of the time frame.
Going to the US with the intent to stay there (without the appropiate visa) is visa fraud and could result in you being banned from the US.
I know that it seems so confusing at first but with a little research, it's not that difficult to understand anymore.

My husband filed on February 6th and we just got approved. No RFE as we expected. Made our day : )

Thanks for the advice. We called a while back and they told us the same. We'll just wait for the RFE.

My husband called today. They told him not to send anything, to wait until they get in touch with him about missing/ incomplete information. They also said that it might not be necessary (depending on the person that processes our case). I guess we will wait then : )

I have made a similiar mistake (instead of address, I didn't fill out correctly my employment of the last 5 years).
I am planning on calling USCIS to ask if it is ok to send the form again, with the corrected information.

Hi everyone,
I am new here but have read some topics on VJ over the past days and I hope you have some advice for me concerning my (hopefully) small problem as well:
My USC husband sent the I-130 package for the CR1 visa at the beginning of last month. Yesterday I noticed that I have made a mistake filling out the G-325a. Instead of accounting for the last 5 years of my employment history, I only named my current employer of 1,5 years and nothing else (no "none" or "unemployed" for the years before that). When filling out the form I was pretty sure that the jobs I had before didn't count since I was still a student and the timeframes varied from 2 weeks to 6 months. Now I know better.
What can I do now? Do I wait for a RFE? Do I send a corrected G-325a?
Thanks a lot for any suggestions.

Anyway I will wait until I get to the dr approved by uscis then.
I wouldn't wait until the medical exam to get the titer counted. Do that before you go there because I am not sure if they even do that there and if they do, they will probably charge you more money than any other doctor. Make sure you also have the Measles, Mumps, Rubella vaccination twice. I almost didn't until my normal doctor told me to.
Make sure you get to the panel physician a little before 7.30 (ring the bell!). That way you will be out of there relatively quick (maybe 1-2 hours). Oh, and if you take the car, there's parking behind the building.
