I plan to co sponsor my cousins fiancée. My cousin doesn't earn enough to meet the poverty guidelines.

I don't know which affidavit of support form to use. Also, my tax return is a joint return, since I'm married and me and my wife file a joint return. Does my wife also need to fill out and sign an affidavit of support too? Any help would be appreciated.

my friend met a Filipina who is going thru the annulment process in the Philippines.

My question is, when he fills out the I129F does he use her married name or her maiden name?

I agree, there are some places in Mindanao that are not safe, but not the whole island. My wife is from Surigao, and i felt safe every time i went there.

My wife is from Surigao City,the northern part of Mindanao.

I never encountered any problems. Actually, I have met lots of nice poeple there. I know there are lots of bombings in Cotaboto.

I don't think i would want to go too far south, but i always felt safe in Surigao.

Relax....You have nothing to worry about. Lots of people have hemorroids and it's not a reason to fail your medical exam.

you're right, purchase your ticket using your married name. You can take a copy of your marraige certificate just in case they ask for it, but you shouldn't have any problems.

Shouldn't they also file I-130 with AOS? I thought that was the guidance for those who married within 90 days on K1 but didn't file AOS for a long time.

Yes, she is still married to her petitioner. I don't know why they haven't already filed AOS.

I hope everyone gets an approval soon.

We made an INFO PASS appointment for this morning, trying to get the I551 stamp, coz we didn't want to have keep up with the extention letter when we go back to Philippines.

We explained to the officer that we filed in January and hadn't heard anything since the biometrics on March 2.

The officer looked up our case and said " you were approved on June 4, Oh, today is June 4..You were approved today!

What good news to hear...

She took my wife and son's passport, took out the I94, took their 2 year card and stamped their passports with the I551 stamp.

Our online status hasn't changed nor have we gotten an email.

Please update our info.
