So finally the good news came:

"On October 10, 2012, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283"

still nothing from CSC for us

Same here! Nothing yet...getting a little nervous and concerned as its past 6 months now!

Hi! i called USCIS last week to ask about my case. I was unlucky enough to get to talk to a very crabby staff. I said i was worried because i was living along a border that i had to cross the immigrant checkpoint every time i needed to go north, which i tried not to. I understand that the extension letter is a good proof of my legal status, but you know i would be more confident with the card. The lady said i have a year to worry about it, why did i worry too much, and "PEOPLE LIKE YOU MAKE OUR JOB MORE DIFFICULT" I did not mean to make her job difficult, i only called once since i filed that form. She said i could go to make an infopass if i don;t get the card right at the end of my year and i could find more info on thier website. Please don't hesitate to call back if you have any question' she said at the end! I decided i will not call anymore. I will wait to see when i will be lucky to get approved!

I need some advise as I'm in the process of closing my home loan and my green card is expired,therefore my lender needs a current green card copy.

I never received my NOA till today and when I called USCIS they told me that I need to visit their office and the option is to stamp my passport but they will take my expired green card.

I know some of my friends here have got their passports stamped,can you please advise if they did take your expired green card??

I filed on the 29th of March and should I wait till the last minute before closing my loan?

until now we're still waiting for NOA1.

I don't think we have a time period but I would wait for about 30 days before I make a phone call!

we have different car loans and under our individual name but same company and address,should i include this?

I'm also in school,do I need to include anything in this?

I also have no kids,will this be a problem?

We also had few address changes as we were living with family after marriage?Do I need a explaination letter for this?

Please advise as to what else can i include and help with our application?

When you are a student and you want to get financial aid, you file for FAFSA so that you can get grants, loans, etc. fafsa.ed.gov

They ask you questions like married or single. I would print off the page that shows this.

Hi,

If you have individual bills that show your same address you might want to include those. Also, on your FAFSA, you checked that you were married, so you might want to include that too, if you filed one.

I am a new user and got excited to add my comments after reading all great post here.It really did help me a lot.

My GC expires on 06/29/2012 and I just got a letter from USCIS reminding me abt the expiration and filinf I-751.

I have been working on this for this whole month to get things in order.

I have the following:

Lease agreement,bank statement,tax returns,credit cards,bills,letters,medical and other insurance,vacation itineraries.(all this with Joint names)

I am not sure if i need to also submit our car titles which is not joint?

Also other bills which are only on our individual names?

I do not have any kids and I am in school?do i need to provide any evidence on this?

I do not have many familes here so not much pictures together?will this be a problem?
