  1. You need to call USCIS and make sure that your address is changed in their system. I did an address change and received a RFE after at my old address( luckily I wasn't completely moved out). Eventhough I did the address change online, I called USCIS because I was a bit concerned about not receiving a confirmation of address change at my new address. The lady told me that my address was not changed in their system and that was almost 2 months after changing it online. She went ahead and change it while I was on the phone. I received the confirmation letter in the mail a couple days after and my approval notice a few days after that.

P.S I was also a divorce waiver so I was surprised to get approved in 4 months. I filed in May as well

    Goodluck

    Thank you!

  2. Any ideas of what should I do except wait? Alright I am beginning to freak out, so it has been 30 days now, and I have not received a letter with biometrics appointment, and if I check my case status online it gives me:

    • Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283.
  3. Hello! I have 80 days left until my Green Card expires, therefore I must apply for the extension. However, we decided to get a divorce because things are getting very bad. I have read several somewhat similar topics here, but they were a little bit outdated, can anyone please tell me the steps I need to take?

This is hard for me, and reading about the process makes it even harder. I am not sure I am ready for the divorce, I would like to have some time to think about this, but I understand that I have no time, so can anyone please help me?

  4. Dear Freedove7,

People rushed to help you, they spent time writing you tips, and asking you leading questions. You came here for answers, and you got them.

If you have 10 pictures that show you together on important events, that is great.

Also, adding you to the bank account is not a bad idea, it will be easier as a family to keep track of your money, and budget wisely.

Do you feel uncomfortable talking to an Immigration Officer, who has suspicions, about your marriage?

Nobody is here to judge you, and please do not rush into judging others.

Good luck on your journey, and please click reply, instead of creating new threads.

  5. It has been a long drive but we are home. Earlier I posted my cover letters (if you want to know what I sent) but here is the interview experience:

Appointment was at 2:00, we arrived around 1:15 (We gave us a lot of extra time, because of 3 hour drive). We were called in around 2:20 by a young woman, she was very nice and invited both me and my husband in her office. She swore us and took our appointment letter+passports+driver licences. She started by asking my husband all the questions from I-130, and than asked me all the questions from I-485. Afterwords she asked:

    How did you meet?

How long have you been together?

What does your husband likes to do on his free time?

What does your wife likes to do on her free time?

Do you have any additional documents you would like to submit?

She too my I-94 and said to expect the conditional green card in the mail in 7-10 days, after receiving always have it with me. And explained about removing conditions. The online case shows "Decision"

I am extremely happy. It took only 83 days! We are celebrating! It was painless.

    Good luck to everyone waiting.
