Have anybody seen the “Federal tax info release authorization” form?

Obviously, this topic started because my case was approved (“just” 136 days, lightning speed for CSC these days, I think), while someone else’s, filed a month earlier was not.

While we can debate on the subject – why and how (I admit, I know absolutely nothing about the way Service Centers operate), I’d like to simply drop my two cents in a piggy bank.

Here is how exactly I’ve assembled the paperwork. I’m not saying I did it”better” than somebody else, I’m also not trying to say that I got an approval because I did things my way but maybe this info will be helpful to someone.

I completely ignored allowance to include “just photocopies” of original papers in the file.

Only photocopies I had in the envelope were passport pages copies and Naturalization Certificate copy.

Divorce Certificate (US) was a certified copy with all “stamps” and signatures required.

Marriage Certificate (non-US issued, and not even issued in the country where my wife resides, “third” country that is) was also a certified copy, translated to English at the time it was certified AND Apostille attached properly at the same time.

Actually, nothing difficult to it, I’ve just gave it some thought in advance, and decided to do things the way I did.

Also, I’d like to point out that VJ site is, simply put, – a lifesaver. Thumbs up to everyone involved in such a great project. No doubt, this is a most useful info I‘ve seen on the web in my entire life.

Ok, guys, here is the deal:

I’ve just received an e-mail from CSC stating that my case has been approved on Feb 16 (super speed, isn’t it?).

The sad part of it is –I lost my job on Feb 10. I don’t know what am I going to do..Uhhh..I don’t think I’ll be able to find a co-sponsor…Uhhh-2.

Just to let you all know – CSC rocks!!!

Does anybody know – how much time do I have before NVC presumes the case is abandoned?
