    we thought we could pay the registration fee on the day of the interview but, no, it has to be paid prior to scheduling the interview. The NVC is basically to ship out your petition to the embassy and/or to request a change of embassy before the petition is sent to the nearest embassy (Poland). We tried to have the petition sent to Moscow, but it was already sent to Poland.
