  1. What is there to "got ya"?

I come to this forum for guidance. Just give a straight answer what so hard with that? If links or guide are there just point it out, No need to include those snide remarks. If you feel you are the "King" of VJ go ahead I couldn't care less. Just keep your rudeness to yourself.

  2. As you know some folks are busy, we do not have time to read every lines on a website. WE DON'T LIVE ON THIS FORUM. We have jobs and things to do. All we want is an INTERACTIVE guide that's one of the function of a forum, just point the way don't have to be rude or insulting. We'll do the rest.

Now if you people feels that our question is outrageous then IGNORE it! We are not forcing you to answer every question that is posted here right? This is a free country.

I am grateful for the help but please, some courtesy would be nice. :ot:

  3. Just want to know. I know my fiancee have to file I-485 change of status. How about our 2 minor kids (7 & 3 y/o)? Is it on one application or individualized?

Do I still have to file I-864? I seemed to have done this before when my fiancee was about to be interviewed.

Any other papers we should file (with USCIS)? Aside from the SS#

  4. Congrats!!!

By the way, can you elaborate why the 2Go tracer is useless??

When the 2go messenger text me that it will delivered today, I went online to check at the 2go website. I entered the passport# it comes out invalid. Then I entered mnl# (w/o the mnl)just the number also comes out invalid. At least 2go should update their website in real time.

  5. 2go just delivered the passport. Its been 14 days! The 2go website tracer is useless. Up to now I entered the passport# or MNL# its still invalid. Go figure? :bonk:

So the USEM number I called was quite accurate. She told me it was released last friday Oct. 5 and expect it this week.

Hope you guys waiting for the VISA will have it soon.

  6. hi! i just paid the visa thru the accredited bank which is bpi... i entered the receipt number as instructed but m getting an error message which is invalid...is it bec i just paid it or shud i allow a day or two to input again????

Just an added FYI on online scheduling, You are only allowed 2 appointment cancellation before the system will issue a warning. So don't confirm any interview date until its the date that is suited for you. This is what happened to me. I thought the scheduling is like the airline reservation, you can reserve a date and book an earlier date if it becomes available. I used up the online cancellation allowance. So I have to use the call center#. I called them 2-3X a day to check earlier dates. Boy was that hard. I prefer being able to see the available dates online.

Also once interview date is set, cancellation is only allowed if its 2 or more working days prior. Watch out for Philippines and USA holidays.

  7. Thanks everyone for your replies and advice. I'll consider the best route to take based on your input. I may need to go with the "throw away" ticket since I will be using award mileage for my flight to Manila. I don't think I can change the date of return on an award ticket but will check with my carrier on that issue. Thanks again

For me I bought plane ticket with one year validity and open return. I can sched the return anytime within the year. There are airlines that offers budget fare with open return. Usually "domestic US airlines" does not have this option, you do have to pay higher tier prices. Asian airlines do offer this option of "Open return" on budget fare. (ie Korean airlines, Eva airlines and etc.)

  8. On October 01, 2012 they switched from RFE to Request for Evidence Response Review. Does anyone know how long it will be until our approval? Thank you.

Our RFE took almost 60 days but we are Vermont service center. From what I read California Service center seems to be faster.

  9. Ok guys I just used the 301 2000 or better yet I copied and paste this from USEM website:

"Visa Information and Appointment Service reprentatives can provide information on visa appointment-related inquiries only. Inquiries on a specific case may be directed to the Immigrant Visa (IV) Unit by e-mail at IVManilaReplies@state.gov or by fax at (632) 301-2591. Petitioners and applicants may also call the IV Inquiry line at (632) 301-2000, extension 5184 or 5185 during normal business hours. "

The lady who answered the my call were able to provide me information that my fiancee visa was issued last friday (Oct. 5) and expect it this week. I hope she's right. (holding my breath  ). Earlier I called the call center 9029830 can only give me their "tape recordered" message.

I hope this can help for people like me in a limbo as to the status of the approved visa.
