The gc will eventually come, it just takes time. In my case i was approved on the 10th of April. I received an email on the 12th of May saying that my card has been sent for processed. Then on May 14th i received another email saying my card is been sent out. So it looks like it takes an initial month after approval to get the ball rolling. Good luck everyone.
-
I had an infopass this morning and got my passport stamped for 30 days as my gc has been printed and is been sent to me. Initially i was told it was my risk if i left the country considering the incorrect first name spelling in the form. The proper immigration officer i talked to was outstanding. She stampted my password, adding a seal with a note as well. I double checked everything with her when i was there, i.ie my address as i recently changed addresses.

I received an email saying the card has been ordered. My extension form has my first name spelt wrong. There is a u instead of an n in the middle of my name. Just incase i have an issue i have scheduled an infopass before work in the morning as we are travelling on Monday and i want to be able to get back into this country.

Congratulations! to those who got the physical card . Those who haven't hang tight.
I'm still waiting since my approval letter dated March 30th 2009. I called the 1800 number again today and this time I asked if I could log a problem ticket. According to their system they have no record of my card being produced or mailed. The helpful operator gave me a reference number and said he would forward the ticket directly to my local office. I was never given this option before until I asked for it. I'd recommend trying this approach. With the reference number you at least know that something is being done and you can also quote it on future occasions. All USCIS representatives are different. They're usually very friendly but some are more helpful than others. If first you don't succeed then call back again and ask someone else. To get directly through hit 1, 2 and 3 on the options to go directly to a representative. Good luck!
I was approved around the 10th of april. I received an email 2 days ago to say that the card has been ordered. You should receive something similar soon. I was hoping to have my shiny new GC before our trip back to ireland next but that wasnt to be:(

My case was approved on April but i haven't received my card. Fair enough. I am traveling to Ireland next week with my wife and baby. Will the letter that i received extending my residency for another year while my case is pending when i started the process in October be enough for immigration or am i better getting my passport stamped by my local office here in boston.

[i wqas approved on the 14th qand the approval letter came from the boston office. Is it normal to take this long.

Sorry to bump this. We are supposed to be moving in the next 2 weeks and i havent got my GC yet. Should i ring Customer service. I know its been only 2 weeks. I just dont want to have it lost or returned undeliverable as that has happened me in the past with the 2 year GC.

Congrats!
This is a bit off topic, but did you have any 'touches' online?Or did you just receive a letter in the mail?
My timing is almost identical to yours and I was transfered to CSC on the same day as you...I haven't had any touches.Getting a bit antsy...
Thanks.
I'm sure you'll get your card within 2 week. When you move, request a mail forwarding service.I have done it many times and have always received every important documents.Hopefully you won't need it...
I received no updates from CRIS. Still shows that i was transferred to CSV. I hope you get something soon. Thanks for the replies.

I was transferred to CSV from VSC on the 10th of March. I did my biometrics in boston in the first week of december after i had to reschedule. I was approved last week. I was kinda suprised but they must have thought my case was full proof. Now here is the potential problem. We are due to move into a new place in 4-5 weeks. Even though the letter said the card will be mailed within the next 60 days does it really take that long.
-
[The odd thing is i didnt receive anything through CRIS. My status still shows that i was transferred on such a date. Hopefully everyones will arrive soon.

I was transferred from VSC to CSV on the 10th of March. My wife just called. I received a letter from them saying that my 10 year GC has been aproved. This is fast. I was expecting it in 5-6 more months. I did my biometrics in the first week of december after i had to reschedule. How long does the card take to get?

In my biometrics letter there us an area to check the box to reschedule" upon receipt of your request you will be provided with a new apointment notice. Make of a copy of this notice for your records, then mail the original to my local service centre located in boston.
Then underneath that it also says mail a copy to the service center where you filed your i-751, peteition to remove conditions on residence,
So from the above where do i send the request, the local service center here in boston or the vermont uscis. There seems to be conflicting views on other forums that i have research on here so now i am confused. Please help.

When i check the box to reschedule to do i send it back to Vermont or my local usis in Boston? Should i arrange an infopass?
If a scheduling conflict - most offices will accept walk-ins if you can go earlier (as long as you have your appointment letter).
Thanks, My apointment is on december 2nd, i wont be able to make it that day. Do i send the reschuling request back to USCIS in vermont or to my local uscis in boston. Would an infopass help? The earliest they can do an infopass is the 24th but that is cutting it a bit tight with my biomatrics schduled for a week later. Does anyone know if they accept walkins in boston as i could easily pop in during my luch hoour or before i start work as the office is only a 5 minute walk from my office?

Thats great aidan, hopefully now it will run alot smoother.

That was already the case earlier when only immigration (not customs) was cleared at the Dublin and Shannon PFI's.True, but still nice to get it all out of the way for the long trip over. It'd be nice to, to be able to pass all the big lines on the other side. I'm sure it'd be useful as well for those not 100% sure if they'll be allowed in for one reason or another. Better to be told no in Ireland than in somewhere in the US.No question, it's also nicer to have the customs issues over-with.
Good news for shannon as they badly need some more business especially after aer lingus pulled out and moved their base to belfast.

Bio appointments are usually pretty flexible from what I have seen. If there is a phone number on the notice you should be able to call it to reschedule (do note who you talk to/when/etc). I've also heard there's pretty much an "open door" policy if you just show up on another day in some areas but they should be able to tell you that when you call if it isn't listed on the notice itself.
Have a nice visit!
PJ
Thanks, all it says is make a copy of the notice and if you want to reschedule sent the notice back to the service center. I knew this would happen as the local office is just a 5 mins walk from work in boston.
Normally i wouldnt reschdule but we have a daughter that my parents havent seen in 8 months .
-
Has anyone ever done that. I just got my biometrics appointment and i will be in new york. Do they frown apon you if you reschedule? This trip has been booked for months. We are going down to meet my parents whom i havent seen in 8 months. They will be in new york for a few days before heading back to ireland. Do i just check the box and sent the biometrics appointment back to uscis in vermont.

yesterday i received my NOA1 but they had my first name spelt incorrectly instead of Donal they had Doual. Should i contact them? Would an infopass be better than calling the customer service? This doesnt really bother me now but we are travelling home to ireland next summer for my sisters wedding.
Make an infopass appointment and ask then to check the system and also ask for the I-551 stamp in your passport so that you will not have issues when you travel.
Also when you go for your Biometrics be sure to check they have the correct spelling in the system, We were asked to check all the details on the screen when they had finished taking the prints.
Thanks, the local office here in boston is just a 5 minute walk from my office.

My deepest condolenses in this time of need. As a father of a 13 month old girl i was shocked and saddened to read this news.

some pictures would help and i dont see a copy of you marriage cert in your list, it wouldnt hurt to include that as well....
Dame i forgot about the marriage certificate. I sent it to them when i was originally applying for the greencard 2 years ago though. I including 10 pictures with my application though. I hope i dont get a rfe though. I can imagine though with my close to 100 pages of evidence it should be enough.
Good news, the cheque was cashed last night. Wohoo, move on to the next stage. I probably will never be as happy to find a chque clearing as i am with the I751 application. Given that my greencard actually expires on friday.
I sent the following
10+ Pictures of wife and myself.
Copies of tax retures for 2006 and 2007
Property tax bill for 2009 from the city that we live in.
4 months of mortgage statements from Chase
3 months of statements from citizens bank
Email confirmations when travelling abroad to ieland and texas in the last year and a half.
Letter from family member advocating our relationship.
Other bills like verizon bill etc
Our babies birth certificate.
I may have included more stuff so cant think of anymore right now.
-
I finally got everything needed for the application and sent the package by overnight by usps. The package was received on Wednesday but so far the cheque has not been cashed, showed i be worried or is this normal that it takes a few days to cash the cheque. Also my GC expires next friday week, should i schedule an infopass to get a stamp on my password. I dont intend travelling internationally until May of next year.
In the package i included.
* Letter from family advocating our marriage.
* Tax returns for 2006 and 2007.
* Copies of our mortgage statement from both chase and GMAC.
* 4 months of citizens bank statements
* Various other bills with my wifes and my name on them.
* Copy of our babies birth certificate
* Copies of flight itinary when we flew to ireland and texas.
* Numerous photos, 10 in total
* Copy of local properity tax bill from our city.
* Copiy of Greencard and password plus social security card.
I put everything into a plastic binder as to keep it organised.

Affidavits are not necessary. They are just added evidence.
You will not have to stop working. As soon as they receive your application, your GC will automatically be extended one year. You will use the NOA as proof IF anyone even asks.
I suggest a few picture is you have any. Other then that, it looks good.
Thank you
