Please understand that all case related inquiries must be addressed to the NCSC first by calling 1-800-375-5283 or via TTY at 1-800-767-1833. A customer service representative should be able to assist you when you call the above toll-free number.

    If representatives are unable to provide information regarding your case, they will create a service request for the appropriate USCIS office that has jurisdiction over your case to answer your questions and concerns. These referrals will be identified by Referral IDs assigned from the NCSC.

    Separately, the status of your case may be obtained online at www.uscis.gov

    If you do not have an application or petition filed with USCIS and need general immigration and citizenship information, you may visit www.uscis.gov.

    Your Case Status: Initial Review

    On December 1, 2014, we transferred your Form CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED, Receipt Number EAC14XXXXXXXX, to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by December 31, 2014, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

    During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators. If you have filed an I-485, I-589, I-751, N-400, I-90, I-821, I-131 or I-765, you can expect to receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints and/or photographs taken. The timing of your appointment is determined by the number of applicants ahead of you that also need a biometric appointment. We try to schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your application. We will send your appointment notice approximately 14 days ahead of your scheduled appointment. It is important that you keep this appointment. If absolutely necessary, you can request that your appointment be rescheduled however, please be aware that rescheduling may delay the processing of your application. Please follow the instructions on your appointment notice if you need to reschedule. Occasionally, you may receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints taken when you have filed a form other than those listed above. In these situations, you may receive your appointment notice more than 30 days after submitting your application or petition.

  3. We are about to file I-751 for my wife. I bought my house 15 years before we met, so there is no lease or utilities in both of our names. We do have 1 joint bank account. I have home phone bills showing her calls to Mexico to talk to family. I have life and health insurance policies showing coverage on both of us. Our drivers license show the same address. We both have cars, but not joint ownership showing same address. Auto Insurance cards showing both vehicles and both of us as drivers. We have 2012 and 2013 Tax transcripts showing that we filed joint tax returns with W2s showing same address. Photos and airline tickets of our trip to Cancun with my son. Pictures of us together from various friends Facebook pages. Notarized statements from my son and 5 other friends about our relationship. Contract in both of our names for home improvements to my house. Is there anything more that I need to include?

  4. A police check is not required. You will bring all required documents to the interview. Make sure you make copies of everything including the DS-260 confirmation page. I would recommend doing the medical 2 days before the interview. The ASC appointment will need to be done at least a day before the medical. Depending on where you live, you may be able to do the ASC at your local embassy.

  5. All immunizations listed on the website are required. It is up to the doctor doing the physical to accept the vaccinations you already have had. In order for the doctor to consider your shots, you will need documentation from the clinic that gave the shots. The doctor will either accept them or reject them. The doctor will always lean towards giving them there, so you will need plenty of documentation as to where, when, and who gave which immunizations.
