      you don't have to wait for it... if you know that it's been mailed out, you can go to the montreal us consulate site and download the pkg 3 right from their site....and mail it off :)

      After you get word that the petition is headed for Montreal, give it a few days (I’d say minimum a week) and you can start calling the Department of State (DOS). Their number is: 1-202-663-1225 and to get to a visa specialist, it’s 1 and then 0. This operator will want your MTL # and sometimes both the names and dates of birth for both petitioner and beneficiary. At this stage, you’ll go through the follow things with DOS:

      honestly, i'd call.... if you have your mtl number from the nvc, go for it.... chances are they have it and have sent it out.... I still haven't received my pkg3 in the mail and i constantly read that it never arrives.....

    This waiting really sucks...6 months in counting...7 months since the last time we were in each other's arms...

      I hear you.... I'm tired of waiting too.... we have pretty much the same timeline, we must have got put onto the desk of the slowest case worker known to man.... fingers crossed we hear something before Christmas....
