No, I was not able to attend the interview with him. My father in law was able to, though. I sent him the paper work two months before the interview and it took 6 weeks. The mail service is extremely terrible and unreliable in Mexico. I dropped it off at my local post office and they took care of the rest. Nothing, not even FedEx or DHL or anything else will make the mail get there faster. After it leaves the U.S, you have absolutely no guarantee of anything so don't pay extra even if the...

hi alex! ok I have a question. I am filling DS260 and where it says "the petitoneris my:" there are options as wife, husband, daughter, ect but it does not say fiance. Therefore do I put "self"? also where it says where they intent to work int he united states do i put not employed since he is not employed yet or do I put other? I hope you can help me

We put wife, they will understand and they didn't give us a hard time with it. As for where he plans to work in the U.S, I remember we put something down, as my aunt is manager at a factory and had promised him a job. But I'm sure if you put not employed they'll understand, too. Remember this is a k1 visa: they know he won't be able to work (LEGALLY) for quite some time without the work permit, they also know you guys will get married ASAP, hence the wife. You'll be fine...

Hello Everyone! Haven't been on in forever. Just celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary on 5/2/2013. We've been living together ever since He's come back and are currently in the process of buying plane tickets so I can meet his family (Finally!) in Mexico. He still doesn't have his residency (green) card and therefore is still unable to do a lot of things (job, college etc) but we manage! Its wonderful to be back on and see all of you again!

$1,070, EAD included. Biometrics doesn't cost anything, that's just fingerprints. He waited 4 days for his I-94. There is not written rule, some people get it the next day some people get it two weeks later. You can't really plan too much ahead of time. Have you tried reading some of the Juarez consulate reviews? You'd be surprised how many answers you'd find there.

HI EVERYONE WELL I JUST CAME TO SAY THAT THE ASC FINGER PRINTS WENT VERY WELL WITHOUT THE LETTER FROM JUAREZ!! I WAS SCARED BECAUSE I THOUGHT HE WASENT GOING TO DO ANYTHING WITHOUT IT.HE DID HES MEDICAL TODAY TO AS WELL WITHOUT THE LTTER ONLY WITH HES APPOINTMENT LETTER SO YEAY IM HAPPY EVERYTHING EAS REALLY FAST

I woud have been better to include them, hun. If you get an RFE, use those too. If you don't - that's GREAT! Just make sure you take them to the interview. Sometimes they look at further evidence, sometimes they don't. My husband had a ton of stuff and they didn't even look at it at his interview. Just 5 questions and - voila! Approved.
You might be okay tho.

Unfortunately at the moment - we're in the same rut as you guys. It's very expensive to do dream wedding and AOS at the same time. We married on Nov 16th at the county clerk's. And have plans for our big wedding to be within the next year and a half or so. We are doing his AOS in two weeks.

Got my last name changed and his SSN today. Have an apt for his AOS with our advisor until January 8th.
People just use different names. The 'official' name is packet three. But I'm glad all went well for you guys. Xx
