In my case I DID contact my Congressman, so I guess my further advice is you must ask them to do particulars, because I did not get my case taken to Washington. Instead she looked into our case and corresponded with the Consulate, which obviously got us nowhere.
I even went as far as to write the President, The First Lady, Hilary Clinton, all to no avail and no replies back. Everyday my husband and I wrote for a month. I thought I was being proactive, and doing what needed to be done. So for those of you who face a denial, don't sit back and take it. Remember as much as you can from this site and take matters into your own hands and lead the bull by the nose ring.
with you best of luck , thanks for the wishes

I only know about the Medical part , you will have to wait for them to contact you from the NVC to inform you with your interview date , then you can book you medical examination day , Good luck

Since they did not ask you to Submit these Decuments , then you don't have to ! but you have to bring these Decuments with you to the interview , Good luck

do not worry , this process is necessary and easy . Administrative process mean " Security check , background check and name check " once they are done with that , they will contact you !
but since they told you , they are ok with your relationship , that means you will get the visa but after that AP goes well ,
Good luck

No , sir ! no one can predict a time for a background check , it differs from case to another . just wait and they will contact you as soon as they finish their necessary check

Salam Alikom everyone , I just wanted to share my hard experience , it might be useful for some people who had or having the same one
My interview was set on Dec,2011 , I appeared at the embassy for my interview with all the Evidence they might ask me to show " photo Album , hundreds of Chats , Phone cards , Western union Receipts , cards " and I was ready for any Questions they might ask me about our Relationship and anything includes my wife's life , but since I have been to the USA twice , and I applied at an immigration attorney for extension of my visa , that made them suspect me .
the interview Kept asking me about that immigration attorney thing and how do i know the person I put his name as the sponsor " My cousin and his american wife " , and she didn't ask me to show any Evidence of what I brought to the interview .. then , she handled me a piece of paper which says " Section 221(g) " >> " your case is being Referred to the Fraud prevention unit for investigation " .. then she said " we are done for today , we will contact you " with no Smiles but I smiled and said thank you !
I was not in Shock , I knew that process is going to end because my marriage is REAL ! if they sent it to that Fraud thing or even sent it back to USCIS office , I knew that would end with my visa to go see my wife !!
Here is what I did after the interview : 1- called my wife told her what happened , she was a sleep and she thought that was a nightmare ,
2- My wife called our Lawyer and immediately the lawyer sent a letter and an email to the embassy , so did my wife .
3- 10 days later , My wife contacted her congresswoman , and they contacted the washington office to know my case status
2 weeks later " which is 2 month total time after the interview " they called my from the embassy , and they asked me to Submit my passport so they can print my visa " I felt so happy and I called my wife to tell her the Great news , I submitted my passport by DHL right after i called my wife , and I got my passport 6 days later !
.................................................................................
that was my bad-good experience at Ciro embassy , I hope my case would help anyone that had the same case to figure out what he/she has to do ,
and My advices : 1- Good attorney . 2- your congressman/woman . 3- KEEP fighting . 4- believe !!!
Excuse me , i gotta go now to get everything in order before leaving ! you all enjoy your day .. be strong , you're an Egyptian

Petitioning for my mother to come live with me in the United States
in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America
Posted
Hello Visa journey family!
Oh boy, it has been almost 7 years since last time I was here before I even gain my first temporary green card...
well, I'm a proud American citizen since 2015 and now I'm in the process of bringing my mother to live with me in the United States . I filled the application and filed all the affidavits of support needed and all proofs that she is my mother and that I'm filing my taxes regularly every year.. then I received a letter from the NVC that I need to re-submit the affidavit of support again because I filed an expired form, so I went ahead and did so, now I have been waiting since they received the corrected "non-expired" forms for 2 months and 4 days now!
After that being said, I have few questions:
1- how usually does it take for the NVC to review the case before sending it to the embassy here in Cairo?
2- my mother has a bad history with the American embassy here in Cairo because she went to America before with my dad and she gave birth to my little sister there , not only that! But also my dad over stayed and broke his B1/B2 visa since 2001 till this moment! My mother tried to renew her visa after it got expired in 2005 and they refused the renewal 3 times!! Will this story affect my mother during her interview for her green card even thought she is separated (not divorced) from my dad and that I'm her naturalized American son ?
3- last question, is ther anyway I can attend the interview with her ?
Thank you
