  3. My wife will be arriving to the Untited States soon. Am I allowed to leave her in the US, while I accept overseas employment. I understand she can't leave the US without her green card and when she get green card she can only be outside the US for 6 months (conditional green card). Am I allowed to leave my wife alone in the US and accept employment in the Middle East. Can someone show me where to go and read the law on this.

  4. What about name change. For example I was married in Ethiopia and they don't put the married name on the certificate, nor do they change the passport. I can see where this will cause problems later having to produce your marriage certificate each time because of the difference in the last name. When my wife arrive in the US, I intend on getting married here for the sake of the name change.

  5. I am expecting my wife interview to be in August 2012. Is is a good move to start her medical now? NVC case is complete as of July 3, 2012 and told to expect interview date August 2012. How long will the medical be good for prior to the interview. I don't know if I read somewhere that it is ok to start medical 1 month in advance.
