Just got my letter! I was so sure I'd get an RFE, but apparently what little we had was enough.

When I go to check my status on the USCIS site, though, I just get the "Fees were waivered" glitch message.

Now I'm just hoping the actual card won't get lost in the mail... and that the CSC gets to the rest of you guys soon!

The Vermont office has approved a whole bunch of September 2016 filers, so it shouldn't be too long, now! Not sure how things are going on the California side, though...

Got my Biometrics notice! Last time I had to reschedule twice - first because of a bad ice storm, second time a snow storm - so I'm half expecting a hurricane this time. Or perhaps locusts; could be an interesting change.

Just under 11 months. Our NOA date was 11/30/2015, we recieved the RFE on 10/24/16. On my letter, of the things I listed in first post, they viewed "Joint medical insurance"

as proof, and the rest as supporting evidence. Reading posts from other helpful users, I think our letter of explanation for lack of mingled finances may have been lacking, hopefully

yours works better.

That's great to know, thank you! Of course having to wait a year is no fun, but it's better to know what to expect. And a year from now, I'm hoping I'll have more evidence to submit.

I got an RFE on my AOS application - my immunization records were insufficient - and once they received the new documents my application was approved within two weeks. So hopefully you won't have to wait much longer!

How long after you filed your I-751 did you get the RFE notice? I sent in my package two weeks ago (NOA 10/14) and I'm pretty much expecting a RFE, since we don't have a lot of intermingled financial history. There's jointly filed taxes (I haven't been working), joint medical insurance, beneficiary of life insurance, joint car insurance, and a recently opened joint checking account.

I did enclose a note explaining the (somewhat odd) circumstances for my lack of evidence, so we'll see if they read that or not. The only further thing I can provide is a few more months of joint bank account statements, so we're half expecting to be called in for an interview.

Mailed my ROC package today! When I went through the AOS process my papers got lost in Montana for a week and almost missed the deadline (long story with RFE's, documents lost in mail, Swedish IRS misunderstandings, medical papers withheld at POE - yes, I had at least two major nervous breakdowns and my nerves are still somewhat frazzled), so this time I paid for overnight express delivery. The package should be in Vermont by tomorrow.

I was a bit worried about our relative lack of financial relationship evidence - I'm currently not working, and since I haven't had a driver's license until quite recently, I haven't been able to go anywhere by myself (also partly due to said frazzled nerves), so there hasn't been any pressing need for a joint bank account.

Furthermore, our house is owned by a close relative, so there's no lease or mortgage. Where I'm from, utility accounts and such are usually only in one person's name, so it just never occurred to us that that was something that was supposed to be done.

But at least we had our jointly filed taxes (even though I don't have an income), car insurance, health and life insurance (through my husband's employer), and our two month old joint checking account. I hope that will be enough! I included a text in the cover letter, explaining the circumstances around our financial arrangements (there's more to it than what I've told here) so I hope they'll read that.

Now I'm just hoping that I'll get my biometrics appointment before winter hits! Last time I had to reschedule it twice; the first time due to the worst ice storm in 20 years, the second time an ill-timed blizzard. (At least people expect you to stay home in dangerous weather here! In Sweden they'd just tell you to put on your spiked tires and set out two hours earlier; I've trekked to work in 20 inches of fresh snow.)

I got an RFE for a missing tetanus and flu shot. The receptionist probably scheduled me for a full medical, but I showed them the I-693 supplement form and the RFE letter stating that I didn't need the full medical, just that one page, and then it was no problem only getting the shots and have the civil surgeon sign off on the form. This was in MD, however; hope you find someone that understands the situation.

I hope everything is going well for you! It doesn't have to be anything wrong with your application; it seems like the DHS servers are a bit fragile. I have this issue every time someone has to verify my status through SAVE.

When I went to get my SSN, the SAVE server was down, so they had to mail copies of my documents to an office in New York. Took them a month to verify things and respond to my local SSO.

And when I went to the DMV with my new shiny SSC, it was the same thing: they had to verify my status, but SAVE was too slow to let anything through. This time it only took a week though; they emailed me when it went through, and I received a letter the next day.

I brought my son to my interview, as he's my most substantial proof of our relationship! He has dual citizenship and a nice American birth certificate with eagles and stuff on it, so I figured it'd only help my case...

If you're applying for a visa not only for yourself but also for your child, she should probably come along to the interview.

Ask the embassy where you're being interviewed if she should come, and if so, which papers you need for her.

Jag tackar också för tipset! Har haft tokångest över vad jag ska göra med saker som jag inte klarar att göra mig av med - var i kontakt med ett par flyttfirmor i vintras, och fick en offert på 80 000 SEK... då var det skyhöga tullkostnader inräknat, så de verkade inte ha koll riktigt.

Var på intervju i Stockholm igår, och allt var OK, så jag flyttar nog i slutet av sommaren.
