Dr Sara's medical examination is completed and we spent less than 2 hours there in total. Plus, even though she had no immunization records to show, they only made her get 2 immunizations (for 200 soles - ouch!). I think her being a doctor helped.

Overall, it was much shorter than expected and I never even had time to pull out my book that I brought to read or raid the overpriced vending machines.

How much was the total cost for the medical examination? Were you able to choose from a list of different doctors or was the doctor assigned to you by the Embassy?

My wife and I turned the I-130 form in last week here in Lima. We had a packet of about 50 pictures and she didn't even look at one of them and just gave them back to us. Maybe because we've been married for almost 4 years and I have been living here for all 4 of those; they didn't need any more proof of our relationship.

My wife also worked in the US on a j1 visa and has a social security #. We are filing the I-130 and 864 now and are including here social security # as well.

Today (March 5th) we received the "package" from the Lima Embassy. It included my wife's case number, medical examination appointment letter and her visa interview appointment date (March 29th).

I enjoy following this story as I am from the US and have been living here for over 4 years and have been married to a Peruvian woman for 3.5 years. We are finally deciding to move to the US and will be filing the I-130 next week. Keep updating us with info please, it's really helpful.
